Snowing here today, have about 7 inches now still coming down at about an inch an hour. We have had such a wonderful fall so far so can't complain I guess. Well yes i can I hate snow. people up here need it tho. For the ski areas, snowmobilers and such.

called off school for the day so I am wrapping a few presents .

Hope your all nice and warm!

Hugs

lousy weather here in wisconsin. snow at least 10 inches or more and still snowing. high winds. my driveway is drifted in again. I couldn't get out to work today. we had such a beautiful fall here (november anyway) that it is hard to complain. nothing like a blizzard to make winter a reality.

Here in Maryland it's been raining every week for over a month now. We also received 6+ inches of snow last Saturday but the Heavy rain last night melted it all.

My pastures are nothing but SOLID NASTY MUD !!!!! My horses hate coming out of their stalls in the morning.

Please send us some sun for awhile !!!!!

No snow, but its very cold. 15-20 below when I fed this morning and still about 3-4 below now.

First it snowed a bunch, then blew like crazy and everything was drifted in. In the city a fire burned down five houses because of the strong winds and the neighbours were out helping get the firetrucks up the street as they were stuck in the snow.

Then we hit the deep freeze, we were down around -30 at our place, where my brother is at university 3 hours south of us they had a temperature of -41, windchill of -50!!

Today it's warmed up some, they're calling for a high of -9 .... but it's snowing.

It better smarten up by the weekend. I am NOT postponing my visit to my best friend again!

-30???

OMG I can not imagine. This week was my first time ever with sub zero temps and experience I can go without for sure lol we were with wind chill about -16 this morning and I seriously thought I was going to die. Bucket heaters could nto keep up, so out I went every 30 minutes with breaking ice. No hot water cause pressure tank froze up even with heat tape. but now at almost 2 in the afternoon we are about 10 degrees and tank is working so can bring hot water out this afternoon and bucket heaters are working now to

I can not imagine 30 below that is insanity

Hard to tell how much we had here in Western Wisconsin. Predicted between 4-10 inches, which I know we certainly got. Up to 40 mph winds so lots of drifts. I really shouldn't brag

but I am nice and snuggly in my new apartment and watching the housing authorities shoveling my snow. There are still days after almost 2 years that I really miss having my horses but today is NOT one of them. Sorry folks but I don't mind the 3 foot drift in front of my door so I couldn't get it open this morning. I really do love living in town. I know a lot of you could never do it but I've adjusted quite nicely. Daisy did have a little problem outside this morning though.

But we got through it. Happy Winter Everyone.

Bonnie, we had that crummy weather first. We got about 18" here. We were on the national news a couple of days ago because of the weather. We have gone down to -4 which we haven't done in about 20 some odd years. We have warmed up to about 0 degrees at night and about 12 for a day time high. My dog loves the snow and will go out and just lay in the snow. It was real funny when she grabbed up a big mouth full of snow and got a brain freeze. Oh, and we have a new storm coming in on Thursday.

Its been raining here, then snowing, freezing rain and high winds for the last week, crummy weather and the horses don't like it either. Tommorrow is to be in the 20's for the high and teen's for the lows for the next 5 days with high wind warnings, YUCK..I hate winter here in Pa but it could be alot worse.

I'll hazard a guess and say Kendra meant -30 C not F (it hits about -22F)....though -30 C is still nothing to sneeze at!!!

We had awful slushy crap when I got up yesterday morning, then it started raining, and about the time I had to take Cash into puppy classes, it started to freeze. And the wind, oh my goodness!!!

This morning everything is white, windy and COOOOLLLDDDDD!!!!!!

I'm sure glad it held off for my trip out to IL though!!!!!

It just hit 20 degrees here in North Central Texas, it has been cold, but not as cold as some of you!

Wow I think I am much better off than so many of you. Would rather have snow than rain like that anyday. Again it just points out how lucky I am. My little guy can go out and play in the snow. Rain and mud nope would have to stay in.

Stay warm and dry everyone.

Well the HIGH on Moday is supposed to be -40 C here...not including windchill!!! and I have a final so I have no choice but to walk to school in that sort of weather, when I should be at home under a million blankets. You know you live in Alberta when -20 C starts feeling warm..

That is crazy weather! I would never poke my nose out the door.Would have to have the barn connected to the house like the old new englanders did.

I feel like I am in a heat wave compared to you!

Okay I'm reading this to make myself feel better about going out to feed LOL. It's gray, dreary, rainy and 41 here, and that's right where it's going to stay until Sunday afternoon. I promise not to complain too much now........

you know, as much as I hate snow....I really dislike rain....especially day after day of rain. Try having 6 low slung dogs coming in and out of the house in MUD!!! I spend more time cleaning them up before they come inside than they spend outside doing their business! LOL

But I am getting a bit tired of the snow. It's been snowing and blowing for the past 2 days. And I mean blowing!!! The wind almost knocks you down....white outs on the road all the time....not fun traveling in that's for sure....and cccoooollllddddd...the corgis don't want to spend much time out....and if I don't go out with them, they just sit at the door waiting for it to open again

In the past week we went down to -7F along with the snow. A total of about 20" so far. It is now snowing againand we are way uo in the 20's. But, by the end of next week we are going to be into the mid 50's. We did this back in I think '97 (not sure) and we had aNew Years Day Flood. Doesn't that sound like it will be fun? The place I worked, the Bosses took a couple of Jet Skis in and got stuck in the plant

Maine in the same boat as you Bonnie we got about 8 inches of snow here yesterday and today we are at around 2 above zero F and wind wind wind. Not supposed to change for the next two days. Lost power for about an hour last night but so far fine tonight. I dont have heated buckets so have to have double buckets for everyone and bring the frozen ones to the house. Thank God I have a pump in the barn that is frostless so the cold water is in the barn I just lug hot water from the house to mix with the barn water which is about 35 degrees coming out of the pump. I also give them hot beet pulp which they truly enjoy. Stay warm

This past week our absolute lowest temp was MINUS 12.....and for three days our highs never got out the single digits. However, we didn't have snow or wind!

Our pipes froze, our hoses froze.....(ran three hoses through the house every night to thaw)......were able to get water directly off the water pump.

Then, yesterday our temps started climbing to just above freezing and last night we discovered a pipe had broken. (sigh) So the horses still have water (whew), but we've shut down the house water until our plumber friend can come tomorrow. I'm hauling buckets of water from the horse's outdoor hydrant to house for toilet flushing, cooking, etc....... Kind of funny to be half camping but still have our computer!

Weatherman says our temps are to be in the 30's and NOW we get the SNOW!!!!

Well, we got snow last night and into Saturday. Then ALL day Saturday and now it is still snowing just after midnight. My tiny Yorkie can no longer go out side. I guess that is what puppy pads are for. Her daddy used to go in a cat box (I didn't have any cats then). Can we just skip right to spring?
