I double checked my calendar and the dates. I could have made a mistake but I was pretty meticulous in record keeping.

She is 341 days in this picture. She is not a maiden. She has developed a bag so it's not like she's a month off. She is not wide, either...

She's 32"-33" and the sire is 34".

What do you think?

I lost a beautiful filly earlier this week cause of 2nd guessing myself. The mare was maiden BUT did'nt hardly have a belly either. So you never know, but my advice is to watch her just in case. Hopefully you have a great foaling and a healthy baby!

GOOD LUCK!

she doesn't have much of a belly, but she just might not be showing eithier. i'd say to definetly keep watchin her. she's really pretty btw

I have a mare that foals without ever looking pregnant so watch carefully ,the same mare does not bag up till after she foals. . I had a little mare foal last week at 351 days and she did not look very big. Good Luck

Nice clip job.

I think she's just going to be another Maddie. *sigh*

Well she is on mare stare under camera so I know people will call me if I fall asleep :)

She is in the foaling shed, about 20 steps from my house and I check her a couple-3 times a day. We also check the pH of the milk. Haven't bothered to do that in the last couple of days because her bag has gotten kinda soft in the morning. It was testing at the highest pH at the end of last week.

Her last foal was in 2007 so maybe she tightened back up? Wish that had happened to me... lol

Nice clip job.

It got really hot and some nice person clipped her with my crappy clippers. I did 'fix' it but haven't done a great job at it.

Maddie was a maiden though...

Not much of a belly at all but she could have a tiny bun in the oven!!

She looks to me like she's probably pregnant. We have a mare who is a little taller than your mare who doesn't really show at all and keeps us guessing until she presents us with either a full bag or a foal on the ground. Keep an eye on her...

Oh dont let the belly size fool you!!! My biggest hefty mare last year didnt even look pregnant! I was not sure til I noticed she had a HUGE bag!!! She had a GIANT foal that will mature at about 36". This year, same mare, same stud, she had a belly and was obviously pregnant all year. I was scared to see this foal, since the last one didnt show and was so big! Hahahahaa, she had a TINY 19.5" filly this year that will probably be lucky to see 30" at maturity. Go figure!!

Her belly has too much definition in its roundness for me to think she's NOT pregnant. Was that confusing? How's this: I think she's pregnant.

Can you feel the foal moving? The foals around here really made themselves known before they entered the dry world...beating on their mother's innards. I can't imagine one not moving.

I guess I never thought she might be open. Afterall, the ring test said she was pregnant! LOL She progressed right along and never went back into heat, so I was confident she is bred.

Just seems like a tiny belly for an experienced mare. This is her first foal for me, so maybe she does this. I was so concerned I double checked the dates last night and tonight I did a bunch of squeezing to see if I could feel the foal move.

It took a lot of prodding but I did feel some general movement, like a roll or a hip moving. No legs or nose like I've felt on other mares. My guess is that it's a tight fit, which can be expected at this stage. I bet I find time to do some more checking in the next couple of days. :)

Oh she certainly looks pregnant to me, but mine vary in size from year to year- sometimes they are huge and have a small baby and visa versa. I dont find that they are all consistant, like the mare I mentioned earlier in the post. I think you are right in that she is pregnant... any bag at all? At 341 days she should be ready to blow right now, LOL
