I know this is probably more for the mini horse board.... but I have an idea....I'd like to do yet this fall...
My son started kindergarten this week, and they will later this fall be doing animal studies.... well, Gracey is driving SO well, and my mini horse gelding is too.... well, I think I'll use my gelding...because he's so kid friendly, where Gracey is sweet, but she's just a bit more aloof about it if you know what I mean. My mini gelding, Magic, has been around crowds of kids already. Anyway...I thought I'd plan it during the time they were studying animals. The crazy idea.... I'd like to pick my son up from school with the cart one day. Either Gracey (donkey) or Magic (horse,) but most likely Magic for the reasons I stated above.
Those of you who drive...minis...donkeys or horses...once you have them pretty well in shape, how far or how long would you take them on a drive? It would be road driving....flat pavement, with two slight hills...very slight, otherwise perfectly flat. It is about one mile from here. There is a shorter way to get there, but it would be on a busy highway and I will not do that....
I would think, driving on pavement, they could go on fairly well for quite awhile if they are in shape and there are no big hills or anything....maybe I'm thinking off the wall here, but I thought it would be fun, and I thought we could set it up with his teacher ahead of time so that the kids could come out of class early to be able to pet the horse....
