Nice horse!

The only thing I can offer is your tugs need to be move ahead while you are hooking the horse. I always slide them ahead an inch or two before I wrap them in..that way they move back in line with the backpad. And I would lift your breastcollar a hole or two to take the pull off his shoulder point.

Kim...Looks great keep up the good work

Nice horse and setting! What a pretty place to have a show

I agree with Kim that you need to lift your breast collar a bit. Also I see that your saddle needs to go back just a bit. It's a bit too close to his withers. I think you'll find if you scoot it back, he will be able to lift a little better in the front for a nice long extended trot. Also I see that your horse is tilting his head in these photos. You might want to check your bit. Is he mouthing it a lot? It just looks like he isn't quite happy with it right now.

You both look very nice and sharp! You two make a very pleasing picture

Well, I always have to be a bit different.

: I agree that your horse looks wonderful and I love the turnout! But I personally wouldn't raise that breastcollar as it's already cutting into the horse's windpipe and I don't think you can really get it much further up off the shoulder. You can certainly move the saddle backwards a little bit, it does look too far forward, but I know from my own harness that sometimes where it fits the horse best in person looks too far forward in photos. Gorgeous horse and setting!

I agree with leia... i think it looks up quite high as it is..the horse just doens't have a well defined chest and i think if it went up higher than it would be ON his neck not on his chest.

Lovely turnout all the way around and a picture of elegance!! I'm in the camp of the breastcollar being in a good position as is. Tell about your mini!! It looks very soft and happy!

thank you for all the feedback

pictured is my favorite mare, tippy

she is 14 years old and i've owned her for 7 years

she was my first mini and my introduction to driving horses

tip was raced here in florida when she was younger and she still drives with that fire and spirit

i bought her out of a sheep feild where she was being a lawn ornament

what a waste of a great horse!

she is definately my favorite- we really click

i love the power of the big b horses and tippy has lots of spirit to accompany it

i have spent the past 7 years looking for a horse i like driving half as much as tip and i have not yet found 1

it was a beautiful place to have a show :aktion033:

it was not planned that way, however

we were only in the feild due to the footing in the arena being deep and muddy

(the footing was ok on the bigger horses but the 28" horses couldn't pull through the slop)

i couldn't have wished for a better picture setting though

the photo you saw were actually taken during the show in our "show ring"

: And the photographer even got a couple real nice pix of me and Tippy showing out in the beautiful pastures and woods at that show site. She even makes me look pretty good :aktion033:
