Hi all,

I had an unexpected shock last Friday night when my Falabella buckskin mare bred to my Gold Melody Boy stallion delivered a perlino tobiano filly ..... dwarf. These two had a perfect little cremello filly two years ago - very nice one at that - and now my breeding dreams are rather crushed to say the least. They are apparently both carriers.

I guess I'm looking for people in the Pennsylania/New York area who deal with dwarfs as at some point, I may need to place her in a good home. She is a special little girl who must end up in the right hands of we have to let her go. I made a video for her if you want to see it.

I am so sorry for what you're having to go through, but your filly is really adorable and sweet looking. I think all of us who breed can relate to how you're feeling / how we think we'd feel if it happened in our herd -- and until there's a test it can truly happen to any of us.

Awwww she is adorable. I don't know anything about dwarfs, I'm sure they have their own challenges with their health and care. It's going to take a special home. If I had lots of land, I'd have a herd of minis and big girl horses just for my own pleasure, unfortunately, I board mine, so I'm no help.

Hope your Angel is doing well

I hope you are able to find a happy home for the sweet angel.

She looks quite healthy and not like there is any pain going on, so that's a blessing.

I am so sorry. I know this is must be very difficult. Your little girl is lovely. Hoping her legs strengthen up real soon. I was crying watching your video. She really is a charmer and I am sure someone will love to have her. God bless.

I cannot watch your video because I am on S L O W dial-up, but just wanted to say I am so sorry that your highly anticipated foal was a dwarf.

Thank You Liz,
