Hi All,
We went the the AMHA Eastern Championship show this weekend and we're so glad we did! We met a TON of new people that we'd heard of but never shown with before and we met a lot of Forum Friends! :aktion033: I'm probably going to forget somebody (my head is swirling with all the new faces, names, horses, etc.) but I met minimomnc from AKS Miniatures (and Tate
: ), James Walsh from RHA (beautiful horses!), Lee Crutchfield (VERY nice and helpful to this first-timer!), a very nice lady (sorry I can't remember the name ) from Gold Vision Farm, and I'm sure there were many others, but it was such a crazy weekend I just can't recall everyone right now! Forgive me if I've forgotten to mention anyone.
:
This was only our second AMHA show and boy was the competition out and in fine form! Geesh, there were some incredible horses!
: I saw Stryder (gorgeous head!) and Billy Idol, plus tons of others that I didn't know their name by sight, but they were awesome!
I'm really proud of how Corona and Sera showed. :aktion033: They both totally exceeded my expectations. Corona was named unanimous Champion Amateur Senior Stallion Level 1 and he took 3rd in Sr. Stallions 28" & Under (weird class
: ). Sera took 6th in Amateur Jr Mares Level 1, 4th in Yearling Mares 28" and Under, and 10th in Color! We weren't last in ANY class! I consider than an accomplishment when I saw the awesome horses around us in the ring!
:
Here are a couple of pics:
This is Sera - the palomino in the middle
This Corona (sorry it's not very clear - it would have been awesome!) with his Champion plaque and ribbon
Yes, the lead is in my mouth! I know that's a dangerous thing to do!
Thanks for letting me share. It was the most rewarding experience we've had showing so far! :aktion033:
