bottom line dont buy the i was abused therefore I abuse defense
I can say that the offenders I worked with were not in the violent category and yes they were abused themselves and that is where they learned the behaivior.....they were used and abused at very young ages and this created kids who thought sexual acts were normal.......they did not understand the difference between say a hug or a kiss and sexual contact....for them all physical contact had been sexualized.....the rehabilitation was done to teach them first that what was done to them was very wrong and to teach them physical boundries and appropriate human interaction........one of the more predatory kids I worked with was a 13 yr old female.........one of the successful rehabilitations was a male who had been used as a prostitute by his parents starting when he was about 4 ..........

Well, I think the adults should be burnt alive. Just maybe then they could get a sense of the pain they inflicted on others.

As for the kids, im mixed. I do feel as a kid they have more of a chance to change, but also know some that will never change and even now as adults are no better then they were before as kids.

I do understand what you are saying rori however.... my point is how many ohter victims were there of this kid before his rehab program worked? to me that is what counts I am sorry that there are kids in this world being abused by those that are supposed to take care of them, I am sorry there are kids in this world who are victims of violent sex crimes ( I am one of them) but again to me it is all about the new and unheard victims that are for lack of a better term "sacrificed" to fix the one committing the acts.

Any sexual crime is a Violent one IMO maybe it didnt involve a gun or hitting but it is a control and predatory issue and that to me is violent. Itis about picking a victim sometimes one you can overpower with your mind not a weapon and then forcing yourself on them with the intent to control, overpower and manipulate humliate and the sexual pleasure they get out of the whole thing is almost (in a way I cant really explain fully in words here but not to take away from it) secondary. Many people will tell you date rape isnt always violent however rape is rape none the less using words, power or weapons the end result is always the same for the victim anyway.

Odd in a way well Ironic I guess that in this country we are so stressed about our kids hearing about sex, seeing vidoes with sexual implications and many other countries are much more free about these things.. and yet this country has such a abnormally high rate of sexual abuse something just doesnt fit there but that is a whole other can of worms.

A fine line I totally agree and I realize not one that is black and white there is tons of gray area however.. on this issue I will ALWAYS be in favor of protecting the vicitms even if it is from other victims themselves.

This is something that I also find interesting........however here when I see these elementary girls dressing (wel to be blunt "skanky") trying to look like all those young rockstars...I ask myself just who is that attire attracting.....well I have spent enough time around 3rd and 4th graders to know it isn't the boys in their age range it is adult men looking at skimpy clad little girls........in other countries you are right the body is seen as not dirty or to be hidden ....sexuality isn't something saved for back rooms dark alleys and closed doors ....it is talked about and bodies are just that......and because the topic is open I think children etc....are much more likely to tell and less likely to feel shameful for being a victim.......

I too was a victim a long time ago I now know that I could have prevented it by not putting myself in a situation that led to some scum doing what he did (I must admit the authorities lack of concern was sad) there are still vigilanties in this world and I know he got what he had coming.......not neccessarily legal but gave me some justice.......

Here is my opinion, which I'm sure some will agree with and others will disagree, but here it is in any case

Whenever a culture strays away from the foundation of Biblical principles, including that people are a special creation of God not just another animal, they are asking for big problems. These problems are going to include sexual abuse. Who created sex? Well, God did of course! He created it for a special thing to be shared between a man and a woman inside of their lifetime marriage. It is a beautiful gift from Him. If you get away from that idea, you are going to have all kinds of problems. Our culture is now widely shunning the principles found in the Bible and teaching that man is just another animal. In that case, what does it matter what you do to another "animal"? Who is going to hold you responsible ultimately? We need to realize that God will hold us responsible and that man is special. Do you know what God instructed the Israelites to do with sexual offenders? It was what has been suggested by many already, a death sentence.

Can someone be reformed? I would say, most certainly. Anyone can be changed but there is one specific way that this can happen: the power of God. A person to truly be changed must know Jesus as his Savior and must yeild himself to God. The Bible is clear that a person in Christ is a new creation. Does that mean they are no longer resposible for past actions? No, for the Bible is clear that we reap what we sow. We may be able to gain eternal life and a changed nature, but we may still be held responsible to the penalty assigned to us here on earth for our actions. I have watched an interview that James Dobson did with Ted Bundy just before his execution. This horrible killer had been saved but it was too late to save his mortal life. He still had to be put to death for his horrible crimes.

Ok, that was a lot of rambling and I'm not sure I expressed my opinion as well as I would like, but you should be able to get a general idea of it.

Boy you have that right all it takes is one to go to a grocery store or a mall and see exactly who those teens and pre teens are dressing for .. it is middle age men, teacher, chuch goers, banker, all kinds of professional family men are looking and leering at these kids and giving them the attention they want.. there sons are watching this and the cycle goes on....

Sorry but I dont think Sexual preditors were created because people didnt follow gods with of sex between man and women in marriage only.
