Tomorrow is my first AMHR show, and I'm really nervous. Can you think of anything that I may have easily forgotten?

Everyone says the only thing Im forgetting is to breath, lol.

Just wanted to say good luck.

when i showed I made a list and checked things off as i packed them. One time i did foget something really important. I was at the show when it dawned on me that my show halter was hanging on my wall at home

I was very lucky that my house was a 10 min walk from the fairground we were showing at that day.

Other then the health papers ext, don't forgot to get there early enough to get measured in and turn in height cards in ext. Have fun, take photos, let us know how it goes. What show is this?

Yes, a good idea to have a list made to double check yourself. Let us all know how you did! Im sure youll do just fine! Laura

Good luck!

I hope that you post to let us know how you did.

Did you take your new gelding?

I have a list on my computer I could e-mail if you let me know your e-amail address.

The most important things are your registration and health papers, because in a pinch, you could borrow anything else! I am assuming you would not forget the horse!!! Although once we had to leave one home who absolutely would not load the day of the show... (yes, we fixed that).

GOOD LUCK. But most of all just have fun. We want to see pictures and results.

I was beyond stressed out for our first AMHR show. But, once I got there, I learned that there was nothing to be stressed about. I always just make a list of everything I need and then cross the items off as I put them in the trailer. KNOCK ON WOOD, the past 2 years, I havent forgotten anything I need. I always bring water from home as well for the horses. Some horses wont drink strange water and you never know where the water will be located at the show. I remember going to one show, and although they had running water, it was nasty. It was rust colored and gross. I was one of the only ones that day who brought water from home and didnt have to worry. I have never left home without my water containers. I have found the easiest way to remember to pack everything is to make a list of everything I know I need and just check things off as I pack them. Just take a deep breath and just think of it as "just another show".

GOOD LUCK and make sure to remember to post pictures
