I want to share an experience as the size of these minis are so close to the size of a goat. It sure does help to read, read, read!

We had sold our bottle fed baby spanish goats to a friend with a large herd. One day we went over to visit and the owner (our friend )was not home. So we decided to 'check on the goats' as the weather was cold and rainy. I am so glad we did. When we got out to the pasture there were goats kidding everywhere. One had already lost the kid so we buried it. Two more had kids on the ground so we rounded them up and put them in the barn. We were about to leave when my son saw another goat starting to kid in the trees. We could see she was in trouble. She started hollering and straining and rolling on her back. Thankfully I had both boys with me. We could see the nose but the front hooves were tucked in. One son held on to mama to keep her from rolling while I held on,my other son went in and was able to slip the head back in and get the front legs out in front. Several minutes and contractions later we had a BIG buck born and a very tired mama. It was a single birth and had we not known what to do our friend would have lost both.

It is so important to know what to do,just in case.
