It was such a beautiful day today (high in the 60's!) I thought I'd grab the camera and send some warm weather images to those of you that can't bear to see another snowflake. Hang in there - Spring is coming!

Those are 3-week-old Netherland Dwarf bunnies. Talk about an a-w-w-w factor!

Now that's what spring looks like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the bunnies!!!!!!!!

I heard frogs last night......that's our marker for spring

being around the corner.....

Thanks for the breath of spring.

You are just plain mean....lol. We just broke our all time seasonal snow record today, 80" of snow this season so far and it isn't over yet. 6-8 more on Thursday. We have to plow the horse pens. Last year we got 33" the whole season.

So here is my thought Bunnylady, send me your address....I will load up the 28 horses and we will come live with you. Please..... I can't take anymore snow

We are finally melting here but still have over a foot of snow on the level. We too had to plow our pens and pastures. We have had a total of over 100" of snow this year. Now believe it or not, I am looking forward to mud and I never thought I would say that. It is one step closer to spring so I will try really hard to not complain.

Honestly, thanks for sharing, it gives me something to look forward too. Daffodils are the one bulb I can plant that the deer wont eat.

Hard to believe you have Daffodils blooming

when I'm looking out on ANOTHER blizzard!

Its coming down hard, and supposed to change

to freezing rain later, lovely!

My husband did say he thought such a topic ought to have a warning label.

This has been a very strange Winter, warmer and drier than usual. Normally I'd expect to be hearing Spring Peepers (a type of frog) by now, but the ponds are all dried up. The plants are all confused. The Jonquils (the little guys) typically bloom well before the King Alfred daffodils, this year they are all going at once! Even the Jonquils don't usually bloom before March.

Did I say it had been dry? It rained last night. The "official" total at the airport was about half an inch, but our rain guage read nearly two inches. Mud, mud everywhere, the daffs were kissing the ground this morning. They've gotten over it now, thank goodness

Yes, Cathy, I do show my rabbits, but not the Dwarfs nor the Holland Lops. IMO, my animals aren't quite show quality. They are pretty decent, on the whole, but somehow I just can't seem to get that big, knock-em-dead head. Most shows are at least a 3-hour drive from here, and I have a hard time doing that for animals that I know are going to be the first off the table! My Harlequins are pretty competitive, so I have shown them a bit. Love that Christmas-morning feeling of a fur-filled nestbox! Could you imagine a horse doing that??!!?

I sure hope you didn't think I was serious..... Just jealous, I want your weather (and bunnies). We didn't have snow today and it wasn't horribly cold so that is moving in the right direction, right?

How could you do this to me?? (jkjk) I hate winter! Last night was snow (1 inch) then it turned into rain all day and my basement almost flooded.

Pretty pics, wish I was there!!! We had 20 below yesturday morning and today we've had about a foot of snow and tonight It's turning to sleet and freezing rain . I LOVE New England

I don't think this Southern girl could ever survive in the North!!

Your wonderful pictures brought a smile to my eyes and joy to my heart!

It's nice to know that Spring is appearing somewhere...........more snow coming down now.......and below zeros temps tonight.

This is our 3rd full month of winter weather and I'm longing to see something green and growing.

Cabin Fever is setting in!
