I just past my gas station and almost drove off the road. Diesel fuel went up overnight. Yesterday it was $4.00 a gallon. Today it is $4.25

I can only imagine what it will be once the summer driving prices hit us.

It's going to cost me more than $150 to fuel up my truck. Combine that with the new toll prices in NY -- OUCH!

What is the price of diesel in other parts of the country?

I just paid $3.49 day before yesterday and choked at that!

But over $4.00 per gallon?? YIKES!

Last I looked it was $3.69 here in Minnesota. :

I fear the show circut will be small this year. I do not plan on going too far, can't afford it!!

Seems that since our economy is so bad that investors are investing in oil, so prices are going to sky rocket. That should do wonders for our economy!! :DOH!

Diesel here is $3.89, but that was last night. We usually go to 5-6 show per year plus regionals. This year we may have to pick only a couple of shows to go to. Our closest show is 3 hrs away and the fartherest is 9 hours. the price of fuel is gonna hurt.

Where Jerry works, they have a huge discount for NEW truck buyers. We are just about to go for it and get a new diesel, but the price of diesel has me staggering. Well, the price of all fuel has me staggering, but the new truck would double as my "car" most of the time, and I doubt I could afford to fill it up. Just don't know what we will do. Guess the only real option at this point is to try and find used cooking oil, buy some dangerous and expensive chemicals, and try and make our own diesel! It's an idea we've been toying with for awhile, to help with tractor fuel and all the other farm vehicles we have. Have any of you tried it?

Desiel here is at $3.83 a gallon. Regular gas is $3.14.

Im in northwestern ohio

I gassed up yesterday with diesel in my truck and it was $3.49 at Wal-Mart! Some other places around town want $3.65. If this gas keeps going up know one will be able to afford to go anywere! Except for the gas companies which are making billions!! Sounds like price gouging (SP) to me but the GOVT isn't doing anything about it, so it seems.

Ours actually went down from $3.14 to $3.07 this past week for reg. gas... Diesel is at $3.89. I honestly do not see us having a shortage or anything of that nature. Gas prices had never jumped (in years) until Katrina and then, us being in mississippi were paying up to 4.00 a gallon the few weeks afterwords.. But seems like after Katrina it hasn't stablized anywhere. I believe they saw we would pay it and just went with it. Thats just my 2 cents worth from someone whose grandfather drilled for oil..stepfather,uncle, brother in law and husband. The oilfield is ALWAYS hiring because they are always drilling and producing. I just dont understand.... SERIOUSLY

Unleaded is up to 3.09

Diesel is up to 3.89 I think hubby said....that is here in Minnesota

High enough for me

so now isn't the time to tell you that we pay $2 per liter or about $8 per gallon? ;) you got nothing to cry about yet

$3.35 here in mid-Michigan for reg, I don't know what it is for diesel but it's always more lately.

I have to laugh about those "rebate" checks we're all suppposed to receive this summer to "boost the economy". If the Government REALLY wants to help, doing something about these gas prices would do more to help in the long term!

These gas prices are going to hurt everything, from retail, to tourism, car sales, etc. etc. etc.

Not diesel or gasoline, but I filled my propane tank (to heat the house) yesterday and it had gone up $.06 (to $2.05.9 [mustn't forget that ".9"]) in 6 weeks. Good heavens I could heat and cool (and everything else) my house in Florida for a year for less than the cost pf just propane here.

Well if you can heat up with methane instead then I can supply enough to heat up a small village ;)

Sorry couldn't help it, need some fun today.

It was $3.79 here yesterday. *If* we were planning on showing this year, I'd have to rethink it with prices like this

Steve drives a little Honda Civic, which gets about 25 mpg, because he has a lead foot~LOL My Honda Odyssey gets abut 20-21 mpg, which I think it GREAT for such a large vehicle. Right now, at 1 to 2 tanks a week, I'm spending up to $360.00 a month, JUST on fuel and that's just in *MY* car! Right now we're spending as much on gas as we are on GROCERIES for 4 people!!! That's just insane!!

I even have gone as far as shopping around a bit for something smaller than my dually, but to get something that could still tow my mini trailer, my only option was another Xterra which gets 16 or 17 mpg which is what my dually gets! Only difference is gas for Xterra and diesel for the dually, but still not enough of an advantage to take the hit on what I would lose trading in my dually.

I looked at hybrid trucks, but they are horribly expensive and would take a long time before you would see any kind of payoff, and frankly the mileage isn't that much better than my truck. So, the $100+ fillups continue, but I am really curtailing ANY unnecessary driving. I no longer just 'run' to the store, only stop at a store on the way home from work.

I don't know what I will do about showing this year, not looking promising though.

Usually here the price of gas goes down because the price of oil to heat homes goes up. Diesal is 3.80 as of today and gas is $3.20 per gallon but that said I got 100 gallons of oil on Thurs. and it was $350 for 100 gal. and that is something we have to have here and the driver told me I was lucky I ordered on Wed. because as of Friday morning the price would be $360 for 100 gal. We have spent to date 1300 this winter just to keep warm and we burn wood as well. Our heating season began October 1 because I wouldnt turn the funace on until then though there were days when we should have and will last at least until May 1 so will have at least another 100 gallons before we stop heating. Someone is making ALOT of money. I really feel very bad for those older people on fixed income who have to make life threatening choices.

Diesel just hit $4.00 per gallon this morning.

I heard on the radio that we should expect a quick increase of .20 to .30 in the very near future.
