I'm looking at the Next Grilleration Digital George Foreman grill with removable plates ( $90 at Walmart)............. For those of you that bought a grill do you still use it ? Are you pleased with the meats cooked on yours? Do the meats resemble oven broiled (yuk  ) instead of grilled? Does it result in smoke? ................. I use my patio gas grill a lot in nice weather but I'm looking at one of these for winter time use......... The one above has a heat range of 300 - 425 degrees......... For those of you that like yours please give the model etc.......... I don't want this purchase to be shelved like my Ronco Rotisserie I bought a year ago.

we have the old model which doesn't have the different heat settings or the remoaveable grills and we use it all the time. Its a pain to clean and I wish I could control the temp. but otherwise I LOVE it for grilling burgers and such. If I could afford to buy one of the new ones I'd use it all the time!

I use mine for grilling vegetables more than I do meat but I love it for either. I do use it more than the stove or oven thats for sure.

I don't have the removeable grills, mind is one of the first ones out, the coating is off in a few spots, because the way it got washed and used daily.

I cook everything on it, all my meats, grilled cheese, fried potatoes, bacon, etc.

Wouldn't be without one.

Me, too. Don't quite use it everyday, but I love it for burgers and its pretty good on steaks. I've used it for chicken in the past. [My father-in-law propped it up on it over turned grease trap and made pancakes.

: ] I'm ready to upgrade to the next model and size.

This device has singlehandedly saved many a college student and bachelor's life. After Ramen, of couse.

I had the small one and the coating lasted about 9 mo with it being used several times a week.

I later bought the "Next Grilleration" one with removeable plates and it is easier to clean and the coating is still on after a year, but isn't really non-stick any more.

We use ours quite a bit, and I like the way it cooks. Never had anything come off that didn't taste good.

But I too hate the clean up,,,,,,,,,seems to be no good way.

we have a very small one, haven't used it much because we lived with my inlaws for a while and we used theirs, lol. I want a bigger one, this one is just barely big enough for two hamburger patties and that is it, but we LOVE it. Everyone I know who has one uses it all the time.

We also have a big round foreman grill that is designed for parties, it works great for stuff like shishcabobs (sp?) but not so great for the kind of stuff we do.

At any rate, we love our little one, and everyone I know who has one loves it and uses it alot. I think they are totally worth the money.

We have one of the older models and I love it. Would never be without one.

I make quesadillas in mine and they are delicious!

We have one of the older models too. I really like the taste of the grilled food but hate the clean up, therefore I don't use it much anymore. Had thought about getting one of the newer ones where you can actually take out the plates and clean them but have not gotten around to getting one. Maybe Christmas? Oh and just remembered another thing. It takes up so much counter space...I keep having to take mine out and putting it away.....sometimes it's easier for me to just do things to a broil in the oven.

I have one of the older models, too...and dont use it as much as I really would like, because like Sterling said, it takes up too much counter space, so mine is "put away" and I just forget to use it most of the time...LOL! I DO like it, tho...and sounds like the new model with the removeable plates would make it so much easier to clean, too!!

I'd recommend getting one!! :aktion033:

: :saludando: I have 2 one of the old small ones that didn't come apart , so When we moved in June I got a newer one that you can take apart for cleaning we use a couple of times a week. It does take up a lot of counter space, but we keep it on top of the freezer so it's easy to get to to use.

I have one of the small ones, since it is just me at home these days and I love it. I use it a lot to grill salmon fillets and it make a great hamburger. It is great to take to shows also.

I have one and love it - the smaller original one.

Clean up is not a problem at all - I use a soapy wet paper towel, followed by a plain wet one and then a dry one -- while the grill is turned on.

I would love to have a larger one with removeable grills --

I love steaks cooked on it -- and even do grilled cheese, or grilled sandwiches. I have used it for porkchops and chicken breasts as well. Those turn out beautifully. The size I have is good for one person.

I have also grilled "wraps" on it -

It does not "smoke" but cooking can be smelly -- grilling does cause a lot of "smell" - a problem when I use it in the kitchen at work - not a problem at home.

Previously, I had the smaller, "no frills" older model Foreman grill and now we just got the medium Next Grilleration model. I love these things! No smoke at all, very quick and pretty healthy, too. You can also cook more than just slabs o'meat on them from veggies, sandwiches, kabobs, etc. For the overall convenience I've never minded the clean-up, but it's best if you do it sooner rather than later to save time.

Oh boy, don't get me started on George Foreman, I LOVE my grill!

I picked up one of the Lean Fat Burning ones at a local goodwill for $5....the best $5 I ever spent! My favorite is porkchops, boneless of course, you can't have anything with bones cooked on the foremans...I have cooked steaks, burgers, chicken breasts, porkchops and hot dogs on mine, I loved it all and still do!

It IS hard to clean only if you wait to clean it. If you take 2 minutes to wipe down the grill with some soap and water, cleaning is a sinch! But if you let it sit for an hour or overnight then you really have to scrub at it...

I love mine!

We got the big one as a Christmas present a few years ago(it's the one that you can get it's own stand for) It's huge and we love it. My husband cooks up one really good cajun catfish on it. YUM! Clean up is easy.

I had NO problem cooking things with bones in them -- wonder why MiniHoofBeats said that --- I have cooked pork chops and steaks with bones - no problems at all - REALLY THICK steaks too -- we like our steaks rare - and pork chops well done.
