well, it was a tough day yesterday

very ouchy very depressing bob had to go back to syracuse so i was on my own shain getting a bit sick of chores and such but still helping

dr pam called me in the am and was so helpful just love her so

did finally get some demerol for the debride made me sleep alot

GOOD NEWS i only have 2 tiny 3rd spots most of the rest is deep 2nd

dr is very proud of me i am brutal when i wash and debride each am

says it's healing better than she expected she did not take a scalpel to my palm praise the lord i have scraped it tons

i can feel my fingers and my palm now which is a big deal

i awakened to the bees feeling big time

is here now which i guess is great as the nerves are healing

the sensation is maddening but i felt all of your prayers and healing thoughts yesterday thank you each one

i have to say because of your love and power i am coming along

at least 2-3 weeks more of debride then will have to wear a web type hand thingy to protect the new skin

several weeks of therapy to keep it from stiffening which i can do home

marylou......do you have any real idea just what you have created in LB? i am pretty much always on my own. in this forum you have given me friends and family and immeasurable support. i am so very grateful to you and to all who participate and care. words fail me thank you so very much one and all

I'm happy you are making such good progress and are back to your old self as far as how you're thinking and doing mentally. I just can't imagine the physical pain but I also can't help but think how it could have been worse. We might not have you here, it could have been that bad.

And I second your praise for Mary Lou and the "place" she gives us here. I really do not have that many peers or friends I get to see regularly. At my work, it's my dad, myself and our employees, with whom I don't have a lot in common and can't really be too friendly with (nice, but not buddy buddy) because then emotionally I can't really be a good boss and run things. The people here are my friends and a huge social outlet for me.

And, Lord knows, no one else would appreciate all my gushing about horses!!! It's nice to have a group to share good news, sad news, advice and opinions with. This place is so important to so many.

It surely is good to hear positive words coming about your condition. You have been in my thoughts and prayers constantly. I can only echo the words in your post. The people on this forum it seems all have the desire to come to the aid of all who need help. They have been a Godsend for me during this long period of darkness I have been going through. Its with their help and support I will at some point get back my outlook on life and get over the pain inside. You are so right these are a great bunch of people.

Yea, Debs....I am so happy to see a post from you, I was worried sick yesterday about what you were dealing with yesterday. I am glad they could give you something for the pain, and it sounds like you are on the right road to recovery!

Take it easy & don't do too much though, keep getting plenty of rest.

Good morning Deb....it's so nice to hear that you are feeling better and you are recovering nicely. I've never had a burn to the extent that you have but I do know that a tiny little oven burn can hurt like the dickens...I can't even begin to imagine the pain you must be going thru. My wishes for you this holiday season, is for you to have a more speedy recovery and that your holiday is filled with peace and joy.....oh and enjoy that beautiful log cabin to the hilt! I can just see you now sitting in your nook with a mug in your hand watching your horses play in the snow. Take care, stay warm!
