Guess I should of posted an intro instead of jumping right in.

I'm in the Pacific Northwest not far from Tacoma. Grandma to three beautiful grandchildren

who adore our two mini's Dreamer (the mom age 11) and Catcher (the daughter age 6)

We also have a turtle/tortoise rescue and senior dog rescue. Just something we do from our hearts

not a 501. Been thinking about the 501 thing but seems like a ton of work and a lot of time.

We have over a dozen tortoises, 2 Mini's, several dogs and three cats.

Wanting to add chickens to the list this spring. Thank you to all who have so warmly shared their

wisdom with me about Dreamer's weight issue.

Welcome! You will always find someone ready to chime in here. I think it's the best thing I ever did (joining) when I got my mini's. And the foaling threads are an addiction.... beware!

The tortoise pictures above is Willow and she is under 5 yrs old (They live 80 to 100 yrs) and about the

size of a football. Full grown should reach about 2 to 2 1/2 ft long and 125 lbs give or take a few pounds.

I'll try to post pictures of our bigger and smaller ones later.

Nice area up there. Hubby & I miss it a lot. I went to H.S. in Fort Bragg CA and he's from Redding CA and we've both been through your area. Love it there!
