Happy Birthday to me

It was quite possibly the worst b-day I've ever had.

Missed the call from the daughter in S. Korea, son says "Oh by the way, happy birthday" and Hubby............... never mind 0.

I didn't do any house work, day off. I did cross stitch all day. Visited the horses and did chores. Oldest daughter is pregnant and sick and called at 9:30pm. My Dad has alzheimers, so I didn't expect a call from him. Oh well. Maybe next year, the big 50 will be better.

And so sorry they let you down, I know to make it worse it sucks having a birthday so close to all the other holidays, mines right there too.

But I'll tell ya what, I'll trade you families for a bit if you want, I don't like/do birthdays, just never have but my family won't let em just pass and I REALLY wish they would! :no: Not a grump or anything, just not big on them.

I've come to realize for me birthdays are just like anyother day - some bad and some good. I try not to expect too much so I won't be disappointed. I think it's good you did crosstitch all day - good to do things for yourself on your birthday - the heck with the housework!

My birthday is this comming Tuesday and I really don't expect much. I'd just like to sleep in for the first time in 2 years! LOL! If you really feel yucky about it make it your birthday Week!(I've done it a few times!LOL!) For the next week treat your self to some rewarding things you would never do. Like take a nice 2 hour bubble bath with the radio on, eat your favorite ice cream every nite of you birthday week, go to a movie that you would just love to see and eat a Large popcorn and and big huge lemonade!

You never know I just may make this week MY Birthday week too! It sounds to good to pass up!!

Thank you all so very much. It means alot to me. I just thought this one might be different.

And yes, having a birthday just after Christmas has always s***ed. Everyone was broke after Christmas.

I like the idea of birthday week, sounds good to me!

And I do love cross stitching so it was a relaxing day. I'm way behind on this project though, was supposed to be a Christmas present for someone on this forum.
