I am so proud of you. You just made my day worth living!
I do keep my lights on the barn to a minimum. I'll let the house burn down but not my new barn.
Ideas? Oh you must be joking....I'm the Christmas idea gal. Stockings? Got stockings for your horses? Wreaths? I do not do tinsel and garland though because it can shed and they can eat it but how about some cardboard Christmas pictures that you can just staple gun up? And what about some Christmas music in the barn? The Beach Boys DO have a wonderful Christmas CD but mine is worn out, and now they're dead....except Brain and Al and Mike....... boo hoo hoo.....
I'm putting a big Santa at the entrance probably and whatever else I can find in my storage. Maybe a reindeer or an elf. There has to be a star on top too somehow. It's going to be hard this year to do anything because we don't have the vinal siding on yet. Nuts, but I'll do something even if it's wrong.
Now here's an idea for you:
After Christmas is over, go to the stores and ask them for their decorations. They will give them to you happily. Last year I got about 15 two foot tall and two foot wide big old cardboard wreaths that had been suspended from the ceiling in JCPenney's or some store. The year before that I got about 10 giant elves. ......
Nick will have a mistletoe hanging from the rafters in his stall. The girls of course get ribbons and bows.
Can you post a pic?
