Boy I hate to hear that about the stallion owner you bred your mare to. I know the stallion you were talking about that you bred to the second time ( that Ed Showed)and he is nice. It always amazes me how many good looking stallions do not replicate those looks in the offspring they produce. As you probally know we have 2 reserve national champions and 1 national champion here at the farm. But we still consistently get as good if not better babies for the Old Man "Rio" each year. He is the foundation of our breeding program and over the years ( he is now 18) we have found it hard to get away from him.
Another thing we have seen over the years is how hard it can be to try and find certain lines that work with certain other lines. That is one of the challenges of breeding I guess LOL.
