Boy I hate to hear that about the stallion owner you bred your mare to. I know the stallion you were talking about that you bred to the second time ( that Ed Showed)and he is nice. It always amazes me how many good looking stallions do not replicate those looks in the offspring they produce. As you probally know we have 2 reserve national champions and 1 national champion here at the farm. But we still consistently get as good if not better babies for the Old Man "Rio" each year. He is the foundation of our breeding program and over the years ( he is now 18) we have found it hard to get away from him.

Another thing we have seen over the years is how hard it can be to try and find certain lines that work with certain other lines. That is one of the challenges of breeding I guess LOL.

6 colts and 7 fillies this year..........my lucky number!

Have so far sold 2 colts and 2 fillies.......plus 2 mares and 4 yearlings.

Prices are all over the place ranging from $500 to $3000.

Hey John,

Thanks for your nice comments. I have admired Rio and his offspring in your ads. Very nice! Send me some information on breeding!

Denise,

I am so sorry you lost those two fillies. I had no idea your year had been this rough. Come visit sometime.

Had a slow year....only two babies. But both BOYS are very colorful w/blue eyes & the first one is already sold & in his new home with Robin (ROKO). The second one was just born, and is a tiny blue-eyed Bay Frame Overo. Since he is a late baby....will probably keep him until next year before deciding on selling.

We had 3 years in a row fillies only, no colts. I had to buy a colt for blood re freshening.

This year started with 5 fillies and 1 week ago I finally got a tiny appy colt out of one of my best producer and I am so happy.

Well, I think I'll keep 2007 foals. They all motivate me to show

Anita
