We have feeder bands from Hurricane Debby, very gusty and rainy. But at least it's cooler!

You must be having a lot of rain. It is just hanging over you, not moving very fast?
We didn't get a lot of rain here in Central FL surprisingly, only about 2 inches. There is a lot of flooding on SW FL and my mom in S GA has washed out roads and flooding.
Send some our way, please.

Thank you, family and I are all good. Now it looks like the Carolinas are going to get soaked.
Well, we've gone from wildfire to golf-ball-sized hail. 1/3 of Jasper townsite is burned. A lot of damage to the national park. Then hail that caused some damage to the farm - siding on my tack shed, dents in vehicles and trailers, and a broken window.
And now there's flooding on Calgary area (that's 4 hours south of me). There were funnel clouds recently too. Just wondering when the earthquake is scheduled... that's all we're missing.

So, hopefully you won't have one. Seems you have enough going on with the weather . Be safe, as Benny's mom says.
Gosh, we are just normal hot here for August. No traumatic weather or earthquakes. The heat gets monotonous, though. The earth gets hot and things start turning brown. But it's normal for us. I set the sprinkler out in the afternoon for the birds to play and cool off. Mist Billy. Give the flowers an extra drink.

Aaah! A cool front came through and brought a little shower! Lovely weather for a nice walk with Pepper. Don't think I will take Billy, though. Maybe the change in weather will help him feel feistier .
This morning I have a power outage. haha!!! It should be back on in an hour, but I'm hot spotting off my cell phone and running my laptop on battery power in the meantime. Guess that's one I haven't had yet this year. Big thunderstorm rolled over earlier.
Yesterday was heavy smoke; this morning thick fog - probably mixed with smoke... Ah, I love it here. Always something new.

We have had some @Marsha Cassada but it's fairly dry right now. There's rain in the forecast though.
Turned off hot and icky. Ughh. Try to get up early enough to walk, but by the time I get Billy taken care of and water all my flowers, it is too humid to bear.

We are doing ok and "hunkered down" as they say. Have extra hay and feed on hand. We are expecting to lose power. Thanks for thinking of us.

Are you close to the epicenter? Ft. Walton Beach was home and I grew up with more than one hurricane memory, but none hit us at this magnitude. I remember vividly seeing our 30 foot pine tree bend like a wand in the wind to touch the ground in the wind and rain of a ‘small’ hurricane.
We are so far away here but if anyone needs horse shelter and can get here, we have some room and resources to feed.
