I-90 Sale - Does anyone have the prices?

I didnt go but my aunt did. She has some prices but I dont have them.
She left before it was done and thought the highest selling horse was $1700. She said alot were selling around $400. But again this is all just hear say.
I do know of the two horses she brought to sell she brought one back home. Which I am happy about as I didnt want to see her sell that one yet anyway.

Does anyone know who bought Lot 15? I was bidding on her by phone - but someone was bidding very quickly everytime I told the man on the phone that I wanted to bid again - needless to say I didn't get her :no:

This looked like definitely a good deal for the buyers!! Sounds like a lot of nice horses for very reasonable prices. We came soooo close to going but at the last minuted decided to stay home - it's a good thing because I have NO will power when it comes to the babies!!

I am so glad we deceided to stay home. I would of hated to go and not buy a few! I have no will power either :no: Prices sound very reasonable. Maybe this is one weekend I was glad we had friends up... :bgrin

We bought lot #48, Up North's Hope Diamond. A nice mare that we are quite pleased with.
This is her show picture the owner gave me at the sale.
She is bred to a BOB son, Lucky Harts Bravo on Broadway for an April 2007 foal.
Hope is now on our barn cam if you would like to see her in her winter "woolies".
If she is not in the stall she has been turned out for exercise. She will be in the barn at night for next several nights, as her head, neck and legs are clipped from the sale. We want her to grow the hair out for additional warmth before she stays outside 24/7.

I didn't keep prices so can't help that way. We took four horses and no saled one. I think this sale had more no sales than any I have ever seen. At the beginning of the sale there were many buyers sitting and bidding but by mid sale seats were getting empty. The tack sale went on what seemed like forever, two hours almost and made the horses sell late into the afternoon. People were wanting to get on the road and beat the possible bad weather that had been in the forcast. (luckily Iowa missed it) We let three horses go very cheap, but we felt we had to sell some to have additional money for hay. We like them to pay their way as much as possible. We sold a nice A/R reg bay open mare for $250, a B AMHR red roan mare for $450 exposed and a really nice A/R red Roan exposed mare 30" for $600. Mixed feelings yet today, but I hope we made some buyers happy. Got to meet some forum folks too so that was fun! Lavonne
We went, took 2 horses, sold one and no saled one. Great sale for buyers, but very sad for sellers. Bred mares were going way to cheap. Beautiful show horses were not bringing anything. It was a very disappointing sale for sellers. I agree with Manyspots, the tack sale was to long. A lot of the people were leaving and there were still a lot of horses to sell. I felt bad for those at the end of the line. I guess someone has to be, but it is a shame. :no: dionne
This is a very well ran sale. The tack was scheduled for 10 and the horses for noon. The horses did began shortly after noon. We sold a 36.5 inch 3yr driving/halter gelding Lot 20. He sold for $1000 and sure we would have liked more, but at an auction you have to be realistic to the prices of the day. We presented him in show condition and I think this did make a difference. Buyers like to see the horses groomed and some clipping done on them. There were a lot of broodmares selling as exposed or open and I think that puts up a red flag to buyers. If they were vet checked in foal or breeding sound it might have made a difference in the price. It did seem like a lot of no sales, but a lot of the show horses which no saled in the ring did sell outside the ring.
I know a lot of excited buyers went home with new horses and looking forward to the 2007 show season.
