I have a family looking

I got a phone call today from someone looking for a mini for their 7 yr old daughter. They have a couple of big horses and know how to take care of them but they want something small that their daughter can call her own. They don't want to show, at least not for a while so they don't care if the horse has papers or not. They aren't particular if it is a gelding or a mare.

I told them of a couple I know for sale that would fall into their price range but I'm wondering if maybe Dickens or one of our other rescues might work for them.

Can someone let me know their opinion please! I'd like to help both ends of this out if possible.

How wonderful of you to think of CMHR. I think Dickens has already found a new home. (Gini has been busy) Thre are no others that I know of in your neck of the woods. It's too bad really, as I have a couple here in VA that might fit the bill but with transport being so expensive, it would be better if you find one a lot closer. Thank you so much for trying to help, who knows one may come in tomorrow!!

We do have Arizona Sunny who is still with Stacy. She has been

doing some ground training with him to get him ready to

harness and cart. He seems to be calming down a lot.... Just a

thought maybe they could work with him???

I'll see if I can get a hold of them tomorrow. I didn't think about it when I had her on the phone. My DUH! They were looking to spend a little so maybe I can get them to "donate" to CMHR! I'll let you know what I can find out!!!

The bad news is I can't find them now. I contacted another breeder in the area that she called prior to me. They didn't keep her info "because she only wanted a pet".......whatever!

I'm really hoping she either found the horse she was looking for or will contact me again. My phone just showed a private call and I didn't have a place to write the number down.
