Bag is firm and nipples no longer pointing at each other. No wax yet tho.....What do you all think? Im thinking before the weekend! Im counting on her to do this without assistance because I cant use my left leg at all and crutches in a foaling stall are not a great idea.

Oh my Lyn - your mare must drop that baby soon!!!!!!! Good luck - wish you were on marestare and we could watch!!!!!!!

Nothing so far, Savannas usual pattern is to fill, wax and drip for about 8 hours...She is firm but not hot and no wax....we will just have to see. Next year all my girls are going to go to mare stare. That way I can get some sleep. This year especially now with me with the tore up knee, she better be able to manage with just us watching!

HOLY MOLY, Lyn!!! That poor dear is going to be dragging that belly on the ground before you know it!! I hope she has an uneventful, textbook birth for you.

Hope your knee mends soon, too! Those knee injuries sure are a misery. Get well soon.

am i seeing that picture right??????????????? that's...just....she's...and... SHE"S HUGE!!!!!! can't believe she hasn't popped yet! any minute now. if she doesn't have it soon i'd be amazed. heck, i'd be surprised if she doesn't have it in a couple hours! wow, tell us what she has.

good luck, and hope she has an easy birth.

man, still can't get over that size. Ghost didn't even look pregnant before she foaled, just slightly chubbie. But Savanna is.....WOW! ok, goooood luck

Wow!

My mares need to take lessons in developing a "V" - Intrepid did not do that at all prior to Nefertiti arriving! She just got round!'

I hope she goes soon... did I miss a post or has Bailey foaled?

Still nothing from Savannah, Denise, Bailey was OPEN! I had her palpated and the vet said there was no one home!

Wow! Now thats a V. That picture needs to kept somewhere so when someone asks what it looks like when the mare drops you can post that one! Post us some pictures when the foal is born. I too am going to marestare next year.

Brenda had a great idea... that picture really needs to be archived somewhere for the classic description of the "V" drop!

Geeze... I've never seen one that pronounced!

So sorry about your knee. You must be miserable. I have one very badly messed up knee and I can understand the pain!
