Now one week old, this colt is quite the social guy. Out of our mare Woodstock North's Red Hot Mama, here's Spider!

: His legs go on forever and he's CHESNUT! We're thinking up some names having to do with fire, since him and momma are orange

Funny story, hehehe, this was MY first delivery! My mom had just gone to the hardware store and down the mare went. I had kind of been eyeing her for the last hour. Being paranoid, I thought he was dead  when he was coming out, but then my dad and i noticed the pink tonuge! What are the odds, two colts and we lose the filly.

Congratulations on your new colt...just LOVE his deep rich red color!

Glad I'm not just a weirdo. He was completely still until we got him almost all the way out of the sack. Then poof, he was all wiggley and alert.

Very cute indeed even if he does have long legs. How tall was he at birth?

The long legs aren't a bad thing! And we expected them, Maddie's pretty tall. I'd have to check with my mom on his height, she's off working at a big horse show, and will be home tonight.

Congrats, maybe we will see him at a show later this year///JANE

Those legs! It looks like you got yourself a new driving man! In a few years!

Congrats!

Well here I am home, tired and filthy but have another New England Dressage Show under my belt!

Molly posted her new pics while I was gone. Spider should measure under, as a mature horse and we are HOPING for another wonderful driving horse in a few years. Mom's getting her harness training as soon as Spider becomes more independent (In the ring with Mom) so then everyone will drive! (Glad I've stocked up on carts!)
