I would like to show in an AMHA show in AOTE division. When looking at the application for an amauteur card, it is $10 for members, and $50 for non-members, and to join AMHA is $75. My question, is there any reason I should pay for a membership, or should I just get the amateur card for $50? I will not be registering or transfering any horses, or any other AMHA business that I can think of.

The Miniature Horse World Magazine is nice look at, you get that with your membership. I'm not sure of any other advantages, except that you never know what the year will bring. I went from 2 to 6 minis last year and hadn't planned on that at all. But I'm enjoying them. Good Luck. Lori

With membership you get the Miniature Horse World at less than cost. You can email [email protected] (Alison) and tell her you see that you can get a coupon for a reduced membership fee (listed on apllication) and you can't find the place to download it. I belive they are good thru 2007. Then the membership is just $5 more than just the card. For $15.00 extra you will get the magazine, the right to suggest rule changes and check out the organization plus showing AOTE. :aktion033:

Thanks for the feedback and info. I will contact AMHA and ask for the coupon. It is handy to have this forum for answers!
