My granddaughter is 6 this year and just started driving and showing. I had her drive our 23 yr old gelding who has taught most of us to drive around here. She and he did themselves proud. I believe our area 4 shows are all over and she is 1st in our Area All Stars for Youth Pleasure Driving under.2011Joeydriving.JPG

Oh, and even though my daughter (in her 40s) showed this guy, he got his first HOF point this year with my granddaughter.

Since we switched over to the Mini/Pony Feed, that old man has been feeling good. Of course I had him on joint supplements this season too but when he gets let out to pasture he kicks up and runs while the two younger horses just go out and eat. It's really funny to see her try to get him to "show" to her in halter. He's not the build of horse that they are looking for now days but he seems to remember what he's supposed to do and she has loads of fun.
