Went to find some of the Kodak cameras mentioned on previous threads but apparently most are now obsolete................. Anyway I bought the Kodak Easy Share Z650. I'm thinking it is not the one I want. Don't really need the video....... With me, the more options I have the more confused I get......... Anyone have one of these? Regret it? Easy to use? ......... Any other suggestions of camera's that are still being sold in the stores. I don't buy on line............ I just want a user friendly uncomplicated camera for decent pictures.

I have probably one of the obsolete ones, lol, the easyshare cx6330, but I LOVE it. It has the video too, and I've never used it until now when I can use it for my videos (and still have only done one becuase the danged weather is too icky to get vids of the horses!) But as a still shot camera, I LOVE it. I don't know about the 650, but I'm sure once you get comfortable with it, you'll love it.

I have this camera and think it is great!

I use the video quite often and am glad that I have that feature.

However, the only thing I don't like about it is that you cannot take more than 4 in a row pictures quickly (like, say, a canon Rebel or other EOS camera).

I like the faster shutter speeds (like a Rebel EOS camera) as you all know that seconds count while taking pictures of animals!

But, overall, I do like the camera alot. It takes very nice pictures I think.

Thanks for the replies. I've done a lot of research since I bought it & have decided it is not the one for me..... Mainly from the reviews it has no image stabilization, is slow & one reviewer said poor picture quality.

............... I really need a camera without a lot of manual settings as I don't want to have to refer to the booklet......... I will keep looking for a point & shoot that takes decent pictures if there is such a thing.

Go For Canon Fast and Nice Quality Kodak not so much
