Locating information

My dad had a horse that my mom sold after dad died. I am trying to find information and hopefully pictures of this horse if I can. He was so beautiful and I am hoping that he is doing well.

Is there any way I could possibly get information if all I had was the Stallions name, his Sires and his Dams? These are full size horses, not the minis:

His is registered Apache Raindance (a beautiful Overo, sorrel and white)

Sire: Voodoo Dandy (sp? Dandee?)

Dame: Dakoda (sp? Dakota?) (there was a second part to her name, but we couldn't remember it)

If you could hopefully steer me in a direction, I would be much abliged. :~)

I would contact the registry it is registered with- they can give you info. Do you have brand inspection papers or were health papers required when sold? If so, those places may be able to help you.

Well if these are not miniature horses, I would suggest joining a "big horse" forum and see if someone there may have a subscription to the studbooks.

I think that might increase your chances, considering that you only have a thread of information....
