I have this program and some other stuff came with it.

What on earth is this good for?

I haven't a clue?

I've been using this since i could remember.

Mostly in school. When i have to give presentations on a certain topic i make a powerpoint. Its allot of fun, i even brought it home and downloaded it onto this computer and make one from time to time. I have one dedicated to each of my horses with pictures, memories ext.

We use it for our FFA meetings and recruitings and many bussiness's use them to. There allot of fun! I always enjoyed them.

Is it the FULL Power Point Program OR just Power Point Viewer?? You have to have the viewer for E Mails that you may get that end in pps. And you have to have at least the Power Point Viewer to watch the presentation or whatever it is in the E Mail. And there is some very cute things being sent around in power point because it is a compressed video. So it sends easy through the E Mail systems. I have had Power Point Viewer on all my computers for the last 7 years. And use it every once in awhile to view something that was sent to me via E Mail. So it would be worth keeping IMO for sure as you never know when somebody might send you a E Mail that you have to view it by the use of power point.

LOL Marty, when I got the MS office I said the same thing. So far from what I've found it's good for school stuff. We have a lot of assignments that we have to do into power point presentations. It's fun really, you create slides with pics and info on them. You can also add speakers notes to the bottum to add extra info that you don't add to the slides.

And when some friends of ours got married last August the grooms sis took pics of the bride and groom from babies on up and did a slide pic presentation to music. She somehow(don't ask me how cause I haven't figure this part out yet) hooked her laptop up to a projector, hung a white table cloth up (it was outside after dark) and with combining the powerpoint and the projector the pics and writing showed up on that to the music.

It's for making slide shows of your Prancers, so when people come to visit, you can give them a full-on Timmy experience! It's kinda like a digital scrapbook. It's great for promotional stuff, and teaching. It's really easy to use; just play around with it some and you'll get the hang of it in no time.

Now the one I can't figure out is MSAccess.

I use it fairly often!!!

When I do my seminar / workshop presentations, I use that program on my laptop w/ a really bright projector and this wireless thing that clicks through the slides! I also use it sometimes in one-on-one presentations to illustrate a concept of product.

I love the program, however, I am not sure what a private person would use it for other than group presentations.

We use it in a little bit different fashion, we use it at work to create forms, ect as MS Word was too constrictive/restrictive. So I use it at home like other people would use Word, for letters, tables, and making pages for my Mini's Scrapbooks. You can import pics, and text, and format any way you like. I wouldn't be without it! :bgrin

I said in my post,, there is a lot of neat stuff that people sent in pps through e mail E Mail. Stories that have meanings. cute things like how to "draw a dog" I get many of these through the E Mail. They are neat . So I have the Viewer on my computer and all my friends also have at the very Least the Viewer so you can at least See the power point things. Not the Whole Program I can't Make power point Presentations, But I should would recommend for everybody to at least have the Viewer. It does come in handy if somebody sends you a file that ends in pps.......

I found one use for it at home. When I have a graphic that I cannot get to come up in my graphics program. I can insert it in the presentation and then save just the graphic in another format that I can use in my graphic program.

Yep its exactly for presentations. Its actually really fun to do once you get the hang of it. Can't wait to use it for my advanced computers class.

I'm hoping once I get a laptop I can put a slide show up of the farm and use it for shows and all.

This is what I mean when I say I get stuff through E Mail that have neat things to see using PowerPoint. Now if this Works you can Only see this with PowerPoint OR a the PowerPoint Viewer. YEAH it works~! Now when the Prompt pops up just click on Open and it will download and start For those that Have not done this To change scenes or screens just click with the mouse OR some will also run automatically, and if you want to quit hit Esc. button. Have fun..

And as you can see you can send that link by E Mail to your friends that have PowerPoint Loaded
