So sorry to hear about the accident but THRILLED that it was not worse. I've always known angels are among us, this proves it to be so.......and many others have given examples that attest to it.

They deserve hugs. PRAISE them for wearing those seatbelts!!!!!!!

Another has mentioned that you need to check for concussion -- hopefully that was done. Also, please make time to have their eyes checked in about a week. Those airbags have a horrible punch. My daughter had hers hit her in an accident.

About 3 months later, she had to have emergency eye surgery from a torn retina. The doctors agreed the impact had caused it but now one knew until it actually flopped over in there and she suddenly couldn't see in that eye! So, please watch for such things.

If you have coverage on the vehicle insurance for hospital, its for yourselves not those in another car....this can be covered under that coverage....and/or normal hospital insurance, etc.

Glad there wasn't a worse situation to report. Keep us updated on them (& you!).

Gosh Marty......I'm so glad the boys got out of this accident ok. Must have been very scarey for them.....truly guardian angels were in that car with them. Hope all the nerves, bumps and bruises heal quickly.

OMG Marty, I am so sorry to hear about the accident, and it proves that there are angels with us everywhere, as there definitely was one with your boys. I understand completely on how they must feel about driving, as I was in a bad accident when I was 16yrs old, out of 5 of us in the car, 3 were killed by a drunk driver, I wasnt driving, but did have my temps at the time. I had just turned 16 yrs ,2 weeks earlier, well, after that I never did get my license because for the longest time every time a car came at us, I had a bad feeling about the accident all over. I do think if I would of been forced to drive immediately after wards, I probably wouldnt of had this terrible feeling, but I just always felt I wouldnt make a safe driver being afraid of the on-coming traffic. My prayers and thoughts will be with you and your boys. Marty, if the boys ever need to talk about accidents and driving ASAP afterwards, I would be happy to tell them my experience at it. Corinne

THANK GOD they're ok! I bet you're not done hugging them yet.

I know you will have extra to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Marty, I'm so sorry that the boys (and you and Jerry) went through this

Thank God for the angels! I can't help but think how much worse this could have been on that mountain you live on! Prayers for all of you....

Oh Marty, I'm so sorry you all had to go through somthing like this. It's so scary for everyone envolved. I'll keep your family in my prayers. Lets hope this was a learning experiance for all involved. When I was younger I was driving with a girlfriend and she got rear ended pretty bad. But you know what, ever sence then I make completely sure of my surroundings and think ahead while driving. Sometimes somthing like this can be a wake up call. And help to sharpen your sences while on the road. It really scared the bejeebies out of me. So now I'm always alert driving.

Again I'm very sorry this happened!

Our society pushes teens driving...but sometimes I wonder
By the sounds of things they didnt do anything wrong.

Glad they are ok.

Isn't it amazing how a life can be changed in a matter of minutes? Prayers for your boys' emotional and physical healing. Doesn't it just melt your heart that your son said that "Mom" flashed before his eyes when the crash occurred? Says a lot about the love/time/care you've invested in your boys....you should be proud! Thankful, too!

Keep the buffalo wings and brownies coming!

I just read this Marty! Some kids T-boned my grandaughter when she was 17 and I know they can shake like that..she survived as did your boys but it takes an emotional toll.

I will keep them in my special prayers tonight. Maxine

Coming on late here Marty, no puter while we moved.

I'm glad they are ok but I know how terrifying it is. At 17 I was going to the garage in a blizzard

, I came to a RR bridge and there was quite a bit of traffic and the lady 2 cars up slammed on her brakes and I was driving a VW beetle (not good in snow) as I hit the brakes I lost control and glided into the opposite lane and was hit by a tractor trailer hauling a bulldozer. The trailer part hit my left front and threw me back into a bridge wall that had been put up only 8 days previous. The car was completely totalled but I walked away. I swore I'd never drive again also but time and patience from my dad helped me through. My prayers are with your boys.
