Peppermint wreaths? Oh now That's neat-o! I like that, I could do one for each horse in the barn, with a little name on it even, and hang it on their stocking.... (Not the doors, the little beggers can Reach 'em there, learned That one a few years back with the first X-mas stockings...

I agree with the gift baskets with horse treats and little packs of flavored hot chocolate.

Oh I've remembered a couple more.....................................

This is more a practical joke but I did this to a friend that I used to board horses with. She used this really expensive liquid supplement. I poured it into another container and LABELED it. Then............................. I mixed school glue and brown paint (use the color or the supplement) really well, pour it into the washed out supplement container, then tip it over onto a piece of plastic wrap and let it dry for 48 hours. It sent her directly into ORBIT. I lost it when she tried to scrape it back into the container. I was glad all the pitch forks in the barn were made out of plastic.

Here's a nice one. Knox Gellatin, water, scent, water and silk flowers, sea shells, nick nacks, food coloring. Make the gellatin drop in the food coloring, scent, and pour into votive candle holder or any other small decorative dish add the nick nack and let harden. Its an air freshener that lasts a long time.

I am cleaning my office files and happened upon a file that I thought might be a good suggestion for your Xmas presentation to your boarders. I use to host a Winter Olympics for my kids when they were younger. It was alot of fun!

How about a fun Winter Olympics? Plan some fun events, have medals made (these can usually be picked up at the dollar store, nothing fancy), a torch can be made with a styrofoam cone turned upside down and wrapped in coloured foil as well as the flame, make a podium out of something, fake flower bouquets, and lots of finger foods and drinks.

Remember that this is a 'fun' event, nothing serious so the events should be something fun, nothing you would normally do with a serious event. Also, the medals I bought were not engraved but I had different coloured ribbons for Gold, Silver and Bronze. Have a camera ready for both still and movie (if possible) and frame winners in the tack room.

This project is more time consuming than expensive. It really is a great day with the right people of course!
