New horses

We are rescuing a black quarter horse mare and her 9 month old paint son today. They should be here by tonight and I can't wait! They live in an area that was hit by a bad blizzard 4 weeks ago. The cold froze up the windmill and broke it so these poor horses have been living off sparse dead pasture and snow for a month. I was told the people can't even get to them yet, except by snow mobile. I guess they are going to try to walk/ride them out to a highway to load them and bring them to us. Then they will have to hike back in to get the snow mobile.

I can't wait to see them! I will try to post some pics ASAP. I hope they fit in with my crowd. Linda
