New pics of DeeDee

Just a couple of new pics from this afternoon....I sure hope she decides to foal soon..... Please excuse the tail wrap job, it gets re-wrapped every night, but when she is out during the day, she likes to swat it around.... I will retest the milk (pool strip test) in an hour or so & that may give me a little more of an indication. Sorry about the bad pics, she is getting quite stand-offish the last couple of days, so that is another indicator I think....

Ok, so those of you that see any stars tonight, please say a wish on a star for me that she decides to have this foal soon!!! Thanks all.... Have a great evening.

[SIZE=14pt] Oh man,, she looks pretty even from the front, like that foal is in position. Usually they are lop sided. My mares seem to get more of an indent in the flank area before the would foal, but DeeDee doesn't have any room for a dent..[/SIZE]

When the pool strips get down to 6.2 I wouldn't take your eyes off of her. Sometimes they go "BOOM',,, baby. Well see, you have my number to get hold of me, I have my cell in my pocket now. I go to work at 7 am but should be home by 3pm if you need me to watch her to catch a nap or something, let me know! Good luck!

I'll cross my fingers that it is soon. She looks hunched up and ready to pop.

My mare that just foaled chased all of the other horses away about 4 hours before birth. Wanted NO ONE to see her including me!

Thanks for the compliments and when DeeDee is in a better mood, I will pass along the compliments..haha...(she's not spoiled or anything..hah).... I just came in from feeding her grain & vitamins & the milk tested the same as earlier today....so I have the foal buzzer halter set up on her & the monitor on, so I think I will try to get a little more sleep tonight......I am in total awe of you guys out there that have more than 1 mare due at a time, I don't know how you do it.

Kim thanks for the offer and yes, I have your ph # programmed in my cell. I figure I will test her in the morning & see how it looks & Ken can keep an eye on her until 1ish,...then I will probaby just work 1/2 day tomorrow...... so then I can zip on home & take over the mare stare.... I know what you mean about the dent in the flank area, she does have one on one side.....I think the baby's head is on that side, I keep seeing an alien being moving up like a wave on one side...but I only see it a couple of times a day...usually after she eats her grain, etc.... I am sure it's going..."hey, what are you trying to do?...there isn't enough room in here for you to be eating all that"....it's already got an attitude & it's not even born yet..haha. :bgrin

Ok, gotta get back to mare stare.....good luck to all of you that are still waiting for your foals, I am right there with you!!!

Ok, here is the morning report...update....

pool test shows that ph is at 6.8.....so we are heading down it looks like.....got hubby on mare stare this morning & then I can go to work for atleast 1/2 day I think.....then I will take over mare stare around 1......
