The clinic is this weekend, March 7-8, at the Cowlitz County Fairgrounds in Longview, WA. A schedule should be coming out shortly but there will be lectures on Saturday on a variety of subjects from clipping to hoof trimming to dressing for show and then Sunday there will be classes in the indoor arena on Showmanship, Jumping, Obstacle, and Driving.

Clinic Flyer (pdf)

There's been some problems this year with cancellations, lack of attendance, etc., (Mr. Mark Bullington ran off with half the club for his son's wedding, for one thing!

) so I wanted to make sure everyone knew about this great opportunity. Kody and I will be there both days as I consider Sunday an invaluable chance to school him and Saturday I'm honored to be giving the lecture on harness and harness fitting again. Who else is coming?

The Clipper Guy will be there along with hopefully some other vendors so if you need blades sharpened, bring them!

It looks like Mingus, Scarlet and I had better start walking...

We've had it on our calendar since it was announced, but now Keith is sick and doesn't know if he'll be up to it...and, of course, I don't see well enough to drive.

But I wanna go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Imagine whining toddler)

I wonder if anyone would pick up a hitch-hiker with two miniature horses?

I am NOT running off with half of the club!!!

Just Dave & Christine Houts and Kate Sherry and Sharon and I......I mean sheesh....We will think of all you folks up here in the cold, wet northwest while we are having to brave the 80-85 degree temperatrures and all (at least if the forecast holds).

Seriously - all who can attend the schooling clinic should - there is a great amount of information and hands on demonstrations to take part in. Margaret Slape and her crew do a wonderful job - and it's a great strat to the show year.

Well, it's time to be "wasting away again in Margaritaville".

I was asked to post here to let you all know that PrimeDesign does plan to be at the Clinic for both days.

That is, unless we get a snow storm in the next couple of days!

So we plan to see you all there and drive safe!

Debbie, YAAAAYYYY!!! Bring an open-wheeled Graber, a set of 20" Graber wheels, and a bunch of Victor-style show halters for Kody to try on please!

I am interested in more info.....I can't get the PDF flyer to work for some reason.

Is there any way you can post any info??

I "accidently" came into the mini horse world last Saturday......any lessons and info would be fantastic!!

Thanks!

Hmm, the website appears to be down at the moment. Keep trying! www.nwmhc.com is the main club website and should have all the information. I'd post more about it but I hadn't bothered to write down times and buildings and such yet myself.

If you can bring your new little guy, I bet we could get his clip job straightened out for you.

I would SO love to bring my new buddy. I wonder how he would behave at a function like that?

I don't even have a trailer (even though I would almost put money on him loading into the back of my Suburban, LOL) so I can't bring him. I don't even know what goes on at those clinics. What would be the best day to go?

I am almost positive I am going to make the trip down there.

I would love to go to a clinic. I just need them a bit closer. I have a trailer but sold my truck when the doppy DR said I wouldn't be driving any more. Yeh right. Now how do I pull the trailer? Oh yeh, I don't even have a car. I guess I am going to have to get busy and get one. Truck that is.
