How adorable! My friend got one a bit older than this one and he is HUGE and FAT now! Not so cute anymore and I certainly wouldn't want him in my house lol

AW! I just got back from helping with a rescued Pot Belly. We loaded him into a van and took him to his new home. The previous owners overfed him, and he must weigh over 300 lbs. now, poor thing. They are definitely different!

He is absolutely adorable

Thru my tears I am writing this. He looks so much like my little Shorty when he was a baby piglet. God how I miss him.

We also went to the beach but not onto the sand. He loved walking thru the streets and saying hi to the gawkers. He also enjoyed that he could eat his way in the grass on his walks. When you watch their weight and diet they don't get huge he never went over 80 to 100lbs and used a kiddie pool with shavings for his litter box when he got older. They are very clean.

Cute...until it grows up and eats them!

They don't eat you! They are very loveable and sweet when either neutered or spayed when young and treated with love and gentleness.

Although a co-worker has pigs (but the eating kind, not potbellied) and they are mean and would eat you in a second if they got a chance.

Do they make these in mini?

They have inbred these enough now to have the mini ones. They say they stay extremely small but I cannot attest to that myself. Of course some people believe if they don't feed them a bunch they can keep them tiny but they are really just starving them. Sad but true!

Oh... I love pot belly piglets... I have two rescue pot bellies here... two spayed females named Fern and Cider. They are sweet but they are outdoor piggies - they were surrendered to our humane society as the folks who had them in the house realized that that might not be such a good idea.... A friend of mine has one that sleeps in bed with her son... "Star" will jump into bed with him. Star seems to have figured out how to reside in a human household... Fern and Cider in their respective environments must have rooted through the garbage or tried to up-end the fridge to get to the food inside....

I love pot belly pigs - they are very neat, clean and have little to no smell... my sister's hubby's family has farm pigs that have the pig smell but it is due to what they eat - as my hubby says... garbage in, garbage out!

Just don't ask Mercy about them... she has her own opinion and it is not favorable.
