OK, this was bad....

I picked up the new Dick Francis book yesterday, my book to read at lunch.

I never put it down, save maybe half an hour. (Ok, we were slow at work!

)

I started about noon, and finished it about 3:30. 332 pages....now I don't have anything to read for the rest of the week!

New one, Crossfire. I do believe I have/have read pretty much all of his books!

His books are real easy to get into so you don't want to put them down.

Horse racing mysteries!

You'd like them! Horse racing, horses, with a different plot twist. They research the back plot before writing. One was a wine seller, one was a glass maker, etc. Very cool! This one was a Afganistan wounded veteran returning to find his mum was in a major spot of trouble, and it didn't help that they really don't get along. She is a steeplechase trainer and someone was blackmailing her into nobbling her own horses.

Great reading, I've collected some of his books and read most from the library. He died recently didn't he? I think his son has taken over and is just as good.

Yes, he son is just as good, I think ! They do release the novels with both names, but I bet the last few years is been mostly Felix.
