Just curious to see your favorite vehicles and hear about why...

Here's mine, currently:

2004f250a.jpg

2004 F250 Super Duty Power Stroke (who thought of that name anyway?). Alas, it is the 6.0 diesel (we had a 2003 F250 w/the 7.3, but hubby totalled it in '03).

Here is what THAT truck ended up looking like (looked almost identical to this one):

03wreck.jpg

(oh man was I glad he was ok, but what a mess!)

(oh and would you believe the thing still ran and helped tow itself out of the mud and then backed itself into the shed where it was to be stored before all the tranny fluid dumped out and it could do no more? Amazing and the airbags didn't go off, either...they weren't supposed to b/c of the direction of the roll (end over end about twice and then side to side four times :new_shocked: )

I looovve this new truck but I don't love all the mechanical problems we've had w/it. It is a Lariat so it has all the fun stuff like leather, seat heaters, adjustable pedals, the moonroof (since he broke my truck, I shopped for the new one and found this one online for 6,000 less than we paid for the '03 w/less options).

I am a sucker for white, too...looks so clean. We got the colorless marker lights for it and euro style taillights w/LED lights and a third brake light LED setup, too. Also added aftermarket chrome fender flares/trim (that was NOT FUN).

Oh and it's had new tires since this pic was taken, too. So the flares and the tires aren't on it in this pic, but you get the idea...

I think my hubby's fave is his '88 Lincoln TownCar Limo. He has put enough into it to fix it up. *LOL* It gets a lot of laughs and smiles, though, and we can haul ten people in it really easily which comes in handy.

I am strange for a female I guess and I really enjoy cars and trucks so I'd love to see your "babies" too.

I have to say I absolutely love my GMC Sierra 3/4 ton with the Duramax diesel and allison transmision. It hauls sooooooooo well! My next favorite is my Honda Rancher quad.....it is my little work-horse around the place!

Heheh, dyed in the wool Ford fans, here, but I can appreciate the vehicle anyway.

What year...? We sure put a lot of miles on our vehicles that's why we thought the diesel would be best, but this 6.0 is a tur-KEY.

And the quad, I think we'd get a lot of use out of something like that. We have two Honda 250EX Sportracs and we really enjoy them, but they're just for "fun" and can't really tow anything or carry anything other than one person.

Thanks for sharing!

This is my vehicle....2003 Honda CR-V. It was my big buy last fall!

: I can't say it is my most favourite vehicle, but I got a really good deal on it (and I desperately needed a newer vehicle, coz mine was dying a slow death! lol). It's got leather seats and all (didn't really need them, since I have to cover them up most of the time anyways), and it is awesome in snow!!!! It's also perfect for the business (and dog shows :bgrin ), and I've even got a little mini trailer that it can tow!

I think I'm putting my new licence plate holder on in this picture (it is the only picture I have of the new esroh mobile!). I really wanted a Nissan Murano...but couldn't afford the extra 25-30 grand...but I was trying. Car wise....I don't know what I'd go for....I like the Nissan 350Z or the sporty Infiniti G35 (now if I had all kindsa money to throw around I would buy a Viper....I have always loved that car!!!)

nootka, I heard there were a lot of problems with that year model of Ford....my coaches bought a 2001 (it may have been a 2002) from friends of theirs (I don't know much more than it is a diesel crew cab dually), because their friends were buying a 2004 model. They have since gotten rid of the 2004 model and went back to buy an older model because of the problems!

I forgot to add that the picture was taken on Feb 3rd....before winter arrived AGAIN!!!! lol

This is our favorite vehicle... and yes it is a van!! It is a 2005 Chevy Astro Van and we love it!! Plenty of room for the kids, and big enough to pull our miniature horse trailer, and plenty of room for any critters that ride with us! The only thing I wish it had was all wheel drive it was so difficult for us to even find a new astro van let alone with all wheel drive.

I hate my car so will not post it. I am very much a truck girl but cant afford that.

SO I guess I just oggle over my aunts 3 chevys she has. All white of coarse.

Well, I am sort of a junky when it comes to four-wheeled "kids". Here's my herd on wheels:

2005 Hyundai Santa Fe -- it could pull my mini trailer but doesn't. Leather and all the toys, I really love it. It is a blast to drive.

2000 Ford F150 Lariat w/ 5.4L V8, leather, etc... it does pull my mini trailer:

2001 Hyundai Tiburon, also w/ leather and all the toys. I love it's little round head lights!

1995 Volvo 850 Turbo, leather, etc. I really love this car and very dependable and safe:

Additionally, we have an S10 pick up truck that H rebuilt the engine on and I had repainted. It's 4x4 but we really use it as a "farm truck" pretty much. It is (I think) 1988 but looks like it would have back when it really was brand new inside and out. It can also pull the mini trailer and has. Don't have a picture of it.

You might notice, I have a love of personalized plates and in VA, we can have horse enthusiast ones on vehicles (not on trailers, though). My truck and trailer say "WNY4ME" and "WHNY4ME", and the others you can easily read.

Well I have to say my favorite is/was my truck that I just put into semi-retirement. It's a 1997 Dodge Dakota Extended Cab pickup. We got it in 2001 and that year it hauled 2000 pounds more than it's towing compacity for two 17 hour drives through mountain passes.

We kind of trashed the transmission doing that, but we didn't have a choice at the time. After that it hauled loads of hay with a flatbed, and grain, and the horse trailer, you name it it hauled it.

Even though the transmission is now shot and has been for a while it's never given us one single problem (knock on wood), and it has over 170,000 miles on it.

It's now been put on semi-retirement, it will just be the farm truck, but I still love it. I don't have any pictures.

But my new vehicle that I got a few weeks ago for around town and such is pretty nice.

It's a 2001 Chevy Blazer LS, 2 door, 2 wheel drive with an upgraded sound system. 115,000 highway only miles. We got it through Ebay and boy did we get a good deal!!!

It's like new, I've never seen a used car be in such awesome condition!

So here is the new car/truck...........

Hay guys,, you might want to mark out your licence plates.

Just to be on the safe side.

I do not have pictures to post.

We had a truck but had to sell it.. gee,, was it 3 year ago now? Kind'a of a pain sometimes not having one. But can't afford one anyway.

Hubby has a 2000 Toyota Echo at 43mpg and I have a 2004 Toyota matrix averaging at 33mpg. We love both of them, so far have not had any problems. The Echo is past due for some high mileage maintenance, though.

Matrix has a easy to clean inside,, everthing folds down so I can put things like Shavings and even a couple of bales of hay in there if I have too. Oh and 75, 2 ft tall trees last year. :new_shocked:

:

We now have a 1978 wee Allis Chalmers 5020 Tractor, which we are getting a lot of use out of. Needs some TLC but is still working.

I have been using one of my horses to check the fence line. The trees in our little woods are to close together in some places for anything mechanical. Also would not want to damage the woods with a quad or such.
