Still no babies here, she is So un happy.
I'm on goat stare, and it's not as much fun as the mares as I am not totally great on kidding. I'm literally sitting in a corner of my barn with an eye on her. My foaling stall is under construction from lightning damage last month, and she was bought right before it happened, so now her safest place is in my show barn in a 12x14. Roomy eh?
I'm keeping her around close, but this is my first goat "kidding", her third, so I'm much more worried then she is. We've had lots and lots of movement. She's getting annoyed with me always on her side checking. I need to get a video of her running, it makes me cringe and laugh at the same time, but she doesn't seem to mind it oddly enough.
The breeder I bought her from told me the reason her was selling her was that he Had to bottle raise two last time, and he hates to do it. There is a good chance she may continue to have 4 or 5, which is why he sold her. To me, this is perfect, as most of the fun I've ever had was bottle raising our goats.
My boyfriend and all of our friends that are the 'city' type are also excited, as they want to play too!
I will be selling them, at least in theory, but I Know they are going to be so much fun, it's going to hurt. She has brown eyes, but the buck has blue eyes, and they are both spotty, and apparently that's a rather wanted thing. I love the spots, but could care less about the eyes really.
I've already decided to keep one girl from this litter if she has one, as this sire is unrelated to my stock.
I promise Lots and Lots of pictures!
