Is the horse ok? and did they find the man that did this? We really need to toughen up our animal abuse laws so people think twice about abuse.

I just looked at the pictures and if you read my post about my thoughts about the horses that were shot, you would know what I would do to this guy. People are just plain sick.

What a shame. Horses should have rights similar to humans. They are living creatures, not game. How sad.

really makes me afraid to leave my horses in the pasture! That is not very far from us... I am speechless!

They used to hang people that did those kinds of things.. and horse thieves too.

If they ever do figure out who did this, the person--and I use the term loosely--would need protective custody. A little jailhouse justice might be in order. Someone needs to be removed from the gene pool . . .

Any updates on this poor animal?

A Fayette County, Ga., teenager has been charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals for shooting a horse with arrows.

A passerby discovered the wounded mare lying in its pasture in Brooks on Sunday. The horse had sustained arrow wounds in its spine, neck, and head. The mare is recovering.

On Thursday, Fayette County police arrested Jason Ryan Richardson, 17, said Fayette County Sheriff's Department Investigator Brent Rowan.

Richardson has been charged as an adult. If convicted he faces a maximum penalty of five years in jail.

poor gal. Why would someone do something so bad to a animal that didn't nothing to them.I pray the horse recovers.

We need to pray for the person who did this.

Oh good, I am glad they have caught & charged the person who did this. I hope he will be convicted & get the maximum sentence--5 years will give him some time to think, though I suppose he'll be out in less than that. 5 year on a chain gang in Siberia would be good for him!

I think they should take him out and use him for Bow target practice. Get him in the leg ot arm so he can suffer like the horse did.
