Her sire is a bay homozygous pinto, and her dam is a black sabino overo. What patterns do you see at work here? She has a lot of sabino roaning not evident in these photos. She also has a lot of neat lightning bolt-like markings on her head. What should I have her tested for?

She has the obvious characteristics of Tobiano and Sabino. Before you breed her (which will be a while obviously) you need to test either her or the stallion she is bred to to make sure that one of them is LWO negative.

Yep....she's definitely carrying Sabino & Tobiano. I wouldn't think she is carrying Splash...since she doesn't have blue eyes...but LWO is always a possibility...so would test for that.

A lovely little girl- am still learning myself but I agree with the variety of patterns, including sabino. What a nice hip and shoulder to match

Lisa, She is beautiful, but I am pregidous concidering I own her 1/2 brother and he is going to be my future herd sire. I still have not figured out how to put pictures back on my new computer from a disc. but as soon as I get some taken of him I will email them. Lorie

She is LOVELY! I am inclined to consider her a Tovero and Sabino......but I don't know too much about Overo patterns.
