Our weanling filly went RESERVE CHAMPION

[MiLo Minis]

At the show last weekend, the Canadian National Exhibition, our tiny filly Maple Mountain Sinzibuckwah (or Sinzi for short)took first place in a huge weanling class and then went on to win Reserve Champion mare! In the words of the judge she was "exquisite!"

She wasn't quite so exquisite when she flipped herself upside down in the dirt just seconds before the judge came to look at her but once she was dusted off she stood quite nicely.

I don't as a rule show weanlings much but this show was less than an hour from home and I thought it would be a great way to get them out and seen and of course hopefully SOLD! We took 5 weanlings to the show and they placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th. I am very proud of all of them! Thank you to Mack, Kim, Garnet and Desiree for helping me show them - you all did a great job!

Sinzi's name means maple syrup in Cree. I am only 5 feet tall and she comes just over my knee!

Thanks everyone! I am really pleased with our entire foal crop this year!!! Sinzi is the epitomy of what I breed for but each and every one of our foals this year moves beautifully and has that conformation and presence desireable for the halter ring. Even little Gold who placed seventh I am quite sure would have done much better if he had been awake for the class
