Excuse the elf who obviously should eat before imbibing:new_all_coholic: ...the tradition has been practiced for about 500 yrs in christian culture solstice tree ceremonies have been around much much longer......and ancient egyptians had a winter sostice celebration with palm fronds....it was some queen in the victorian era Dickens time (whenever the heck that was) is when the tree came to the US.....native americans have had tree celebrations and ........nm....try to watch it they always replay that stuff and it was a great show hosted by "AL Borlin" (ya know the tool time guy who actually knew stuff
) and it was in wisconsin and they had several tree farms they visited........stop picking on me I had a bad day

and by the way we are re naming ours a HOLIDAY HEDGE I liked that one

and actually the christmas tree tradition in the US is only about 500 yr's old and it only happened because of queen elizabeth I believe......it actually was accepted and became trational in relation to christmas in germany ...then worked its way to england then to the US
