Hey gang - I'd like to introduce another lurker ........ she's another one who's been on LB for a year just reading and now it's time to introduce her. She already knows all of you of course ....... now it's time you know her. LOL

We decided we both wanted to participate in the LB Secret Santa this year, so she had to register with LB for an account. That was the push we needed to get her to stop lurking and actually participate! LOL

Holly is my daughter-in-law and my partner in the Miniatures. She and our son (and you already know my beautiful grandbabies) also live on the farm just across the field - we built their new home last fall and having them so close has been truly wonderful.

Without Holly's tremendous dedication and hard work - I couldn't pull this off on my own. Holly overseas everything during the day while we're all at work - she manages that with a 2 yr old and no matter the weather or conditions - and 47 horses! She also does the record keeping and tries her hardest to keep me straight on everything from receipts to meds to appts and whatever else.

I can't say enough about my daughter-in-law, also my partner in this wonderful world of minis ......... I just know I'm truly lucky in both of those worlds.

I know you'll all be great friends ...........

Hello!

Welcome!

I just wanted to tell you how lucky you are to be so adored by your mother-in-law. Some of us, no matter how hard we try, never win our mother-in-law's approval. I ENVY (in a good way, of course) your relationship...do I ever. LOL

I might add that Holly came from the CITY - can you imagine? LOL And immediately fell in love with our farm life and animals from all walks of life. She has a very tender hand and tender whisper with any type of animal. A gift she wouldn't have otherwise realized.

I bought her very first pair of coveralls! Too funny! Taught her to drive a tractor and you can't get her off that polaris. LOL

She assists in births and gets lots of credit for imprinting - never minds getting her hands dirty. She's jumped in with both feet and always eager to learn- whether its from me or other resources. Got an animal that needs to be settled? She can do it - patients and no fear are both her qualities.

I knew you guys would welcome her - she's part of my success so lots of credit to her!

I will end this with - - the grandbaby still runs the entire show - but Holly gets credit for the grandbaby too! LOL

Well had to pull out the dancing emoticons for this one

I had the pleasure of meeting Holly in person in July along with Marlene, as I've mentioned before. They're a great team and were wonderful hostesses during my visit.

Welcome Holly!

Welcome Holly!!!! You might want to document your case. I knew it is an addiction issue when it comes to minis, but I think it may be the first documented case of an addiction that is contagious

Welcome Holly, its great to have you join us. Do I remember seeing a photo of you (that should have won 1st place ) driving the fancy "bucket carriage"....it was a great picture!!

Yes LittleRibbie that was me,lol. The cart is so much of a better ride than the "Bucket carriage". LOL. Yeah we were pretty shocked at the ones that won the first and second place. You know. They were so original. We thought ours was unique.

So LittleRibbie you are the one who got " Dirty Holly"!!!!! Thats great! Marty- or should I say HOLLY, writes some good books. I have Happy Horse Keeping with Dirty Holly, that my mother-in-law got me for christmas. It was hiliarious!!!!!!!

How wonderful that your daughter in law is your partner and that you all get along so well!

Welcome Holly!

We are practically neighbors, as I am in southern NJ.

This is a wonderful forum with a lot of really smart and nice people here and I have learned so much here! I am sure that you will love it here!

Robin

Hi Holly and welcome to Lil Beginnings. I have a lovely sister named Holly. She was born right before Christmas, were you?

BTW, you have a very nice mother-in-law and not too many people can say that.

So great you decided to join us here, as you already know its a great place to learn and share

I'm a city girl too but have had horses (full size) since 1972 first boarded 45 minutes away outside the city

(Philadelphia) now hubby and I have had my own farm for 12 years and boarded full size then switched to minis in 2004.

There is a craving in many of us city people for this life, although the city has alot to offer too
