just got back from osu. its not looking good. lisa thanks so much for the info. the snail thing would be potomac horse fever. They are going to go ahead and treat her like she has it. but cant get the test back until tomarrow. they really just dont know what it is and she is going septic. did a sonogram and no colic. saw her 90 day foal. they were shocked to see one so clearly at that gestation. this is the youngest mini foal they have ever gotten on sonogram. but they feel sure she will abort. the vet said "im not going to kid you she may not make it" at this point all i can do is pray and put it in gods hands (and the vet) they all remembered tiny from her last go round at osu and they were all so great to us.

something has made her go septic we just dont know what. they said they have seen more cases of potomac fever here in ohio this year then any other year. But since she has never run a fever they are really stumped. He also said the vaccination rarely works because there are so many different strains.

I just feel undone. I have been thru so much with this horse and to lose her now is just unreal to me. Im praying the iv's and antibiotics will kick in and she will turn around

I have to take kyle in the morning to show jet. Hes worked so hard to get him ready and I just cant let him down but my heart just isnt in it.

OSU is good at what they do, she is safe in there hands and you can rest assured knowing they are going to do everything and more for her.

I'm sorry to hear, Kay, that Tiny is so sick.

I have no suggestions as to what can be wrong--anything I can think of that matches her other symptoms should cause fever--since she has no fever, none of those things fits.

I do pray that OSU will get this figured out & get her condition turned around.
