I found a show cart im interested in, but it has gold pinstripes and hardwear. I have a silver horse and my harness has silver hardwear, so gold stripes wont work for me. I assume the hardwear would be easy to switch to stainless or chrome, but how hard is it to change the pinstripes? I believe the stripes on the cart now are the vinyl pinstripes like you would put on a car

I had just the opposite problem. I have a harness with brass and the cart I found has silver pinstripes with silver shaft tips and whip holder. I changed the shaft tips and whip holder to brass. No one has ever even noticed that the cart still has silver pinstripping...and really...who cares!!!

I personally do NOT mess with pinstriping. It's too easy to find a used cart with the right color striping or something neutral like a blue or green.

Wanna trade?! I've got an all-brass one and need silver for Turbo!

It depends if the stripes will come off easily, and this has everything to do with the paint underneath. On our vehicles, once it is on there, it is not coming off unless it is nicked by a buckle or something. I have tried to change my mind in the middle of striping and it is too late. When I tried to lift the striping, I started to take the finish with it.
