Ok we are well on our way to taking orders for our carts! We have designed them so that they can be minimally taken apart easily so the shafts come off for easier transport, shipping, and storage. We are working on making the balance adjustable. the shafts are a bit more bent to allow for more room for the horse to turn smoother and bend better and the tips point out slightly so incase the cart is not properly fitted to the horse it will not be as likely to poke the horse in the shoulder or neck. The basket will be removable for roadster with a special feature to make it easier for a single person to get the basket on and off easier and faster. The wheel base for our closed wheel is wider than typical mini show carts for stability (at about 44") and a roomier fit for the driver. We will have a variety of 16", 20", and 24" wheels. Shafts can be ordered to the size desired.

Unfortunatly we do not have finished photo's yet but we have some of the upper wooden frame work. The woodwork in the photo's is varnished with high quality spar varnish, though other colors will be available. Can anyone else think of any other features you would like to see? We plan to sell them for around $700. do you feel this is a decent price that will sell these carts? Suggestions welcome and encouraged yet again. You can veiw the woodwork on our web page www.boinky.net under show cart building link.

A show cart currently IS on my shopping list, so I'd be very interested in seeing pictures, and knowing what kind of paint options there are.

What type of seat/upholstry do you plan on having? And wheel options? Sorry if I missed that in another post....

Also, will you have any kind of "attachement" to make an open wheeled cart closed wheel? I do not like the look of closed wheels, but know they're required for R Roadster. It would be great if it came with a "converter" of sorts. I know nothing of cart making so if that's a stupid idea, don't beat me. ;)

Do you plan on bringing any to shows for demos? Or sending any with anyone to get them some exposure?

We will be offering open wheeled carts as well and YES with a converter so that you can use for Roadster too. Right now the open wheels are more in the experimental stage than our closed wheels though. Right now the seats are not as fancy as a fan backed type seat, more a basic seat. We will be making black vynal our standard for right now, but I am looking into doing suede and some other options. As we are just getting started we have not found all the best places for buying some of our materials so as we grow we will have many more options. The paint we will be working with a paint specialist to figure out what is best for a cart and the wear and tear that goes with horses and driving, but will try to figure out the best durable paint we can. I'm hoping we can find whatever paint we end up with in a multitude of colors which will offer our clients that many other cart company's do not offer. I"m trying to make these carts something that people enjoy to use and are EASY to use and transport.

I and my friends will be showing in these carts this comming season here on the East Coast and we are talking about trying to do some sort of advertising and sales at Nationals and Worlds and maybe some other larger shows, but nothing is definate yet.
