Well, I'm with those afraid of needles (getting them or having blood taken - I have no problem, however, giving needles to my animals) Last time they took blood I hit the nurse and was hysterical all the way home.

I hate being alone in the dark. I love darkness itself, but like someone said earlier, I don't like whatever is in the dark (this includes swimming in water that's not clear...freaks me right out). My brother used to lock me in an enclosed dog crate and I liked that because I knew that there was nothing else hiding in that dark. I was a Carnie for three years so if it was at all dark, after closing shop I would 99% of the time run like crazy for the van after closing the stand. My boss thought I was a bit crazy

but whatever!

I like heights, jumping off them and stuff, but someone else mentioned I'm get scared that I'm having thoughts such as "What would it be like to jump off this?" I plan on skydiving someday just so I don't have to wonder anymore.

Yup, my fears are kind of stupid lol

As I read through all these, I was sitting here thinking there really isn't all that much that I'm afraid of...but these two:

Containers of unidentified/unidentifiable food in the refrigerator. I love leftovers, but if something gets pushed to the back and is there long enough that we forget what is in the container....UUGGHH!! I won't even open the fridge again until the hubby deals with it. If he is out of town, I take the tongs and grab the whole container and just chuck it in the garbage. I've thrown out some really nice tupperware that way.

OK, this one is weird and I haven't seen it on here yet. Have you ever been pulling off an article of clothing, usually a shirt or a dreaa, and it gets stuck for some reason? (I'm just about hyperventilating here just thinking about it!) Like it's not some kind of stretchy fabric and it just gets hung up around your shoulders and your arms are kind of stuck and not able to move? I just PANIC!! I have ripped a few just struggling to get out of it. Weird, I know.

Now, I'm also afraid of housework, but that's another story.....

mine is birds, like someone said if its got wings and it pecks im scared of it.

My fiance thinks it hillairous that I drive with the windows cause a bird might fly in the window and then become trapped in the car with me... The only thing worse than a live bird is a dead bird. Im not sure why. I will avoid looking at it at all costs to be point of im walking somewhere and I know there is one somewhere I will take a different route round the farm... again fiance thinks this is also hillarious - he calls them zombie birds...

I'm also scared of clowns!!! Did you ever see that movie about John Wayne Gacy with Brian Dennehy?

I thought about this fear thing more today and I thought of some more things I am really afraid of.

I am REALLY afraid of seaweed. If any kind of underwater weed touches me I imeadiately go into hysterics and start crying.

I also HATE swimming in water where I cannot see the bottom.

OMG Liz I had to change the channel when it came on! It gave me nightmares just watching the little bit I did.

I HATE CLOWNS

I've always thought that my one major phobia was so stupid, I couldn't admit it to anyone (outside my family, who already knew) until just recently.

I am terrified of thistles. Intellectually I know they won't hurt me, but the worst thing is to be walking through a field and come face to face with a big, old gnarly one...bbbrrrrrrr!!!

I developed this ridiculous fear thanks to my brothers and sisters, who dug up the monster thistles that grew in our septic drain field and planted them outside my bedroom window.

Jayne, I know what you mean about getting caught up in clothing -- that bugs me, too. Or the thought of getting stuck in a tight space -- there's a book about a woman who was kidnapped and buried alive in a casket -- that just about did me in, especially the part where she reached down to her feet and got stuck...

...but for me, nothing compares to thistles!

Closets and beds after dark! I should NEVER have watched the movie Boogeyman! I'm usually not such a pushover for scary movies, and honestly this one did't even scare me... till I got home and saw my own closet! I've been sleeping with a light on for over 9 months now!

Lol, that was a pretty interesting movie. I was freaked out at first, but thik of it this way... if there is a "boogeyman" in your closet, just smash all your stuff and rip your robe and he will die. Hehe. Good reason not to have any scary action figures in the house.

I too won't go in water where I can't see the bottom. I used to have a major fear of needles but had to get over it to work at vet(I love setting catheters now). Being alone in a house in the dark, I will hear things that aren't there.

Nope Guys - I have to admit balloons have to be the scariest things out there
cold.gif
I will go wild when I see one - scream, cry, yell, put my life in danger, either hyperventilate or stop breathing, go wild and punch or throw anything in my way to get away.

We went out to lunch today and couldn't go to this fancy resturant because there was this balloon hanging by the wall
sad.gif
I just froze, stop breathing and closed my eyes. my Mum knew what was wrong when she looked inside and she took me away. I just started crying once we were 100m away.

Grrrrrrr I hate them.

I have deferent reactions at deferent times. I am scared to death of them. I missed out on a lot of childhood fun because I couldn't face it if there were balloons there, even though my friends didn't have balloons at there parties I just cried thinking "What If??" Actually I'm crying now so that proves what a sook I am lol but they are just
