Received an update on Devon this afternoon. He is OUT OF ICU :aktion033: :aktion033: . He is a semi-private room with a 24 hour nurse in attendance. He is eating on his own. He has feeling in legs, arms, etc. There is some numbness in one hand but they aren't sure if that will be permanent or not. He is totally coherent and cognizant now. He doesn't remember the accident though. They still have the neckbrace on him as they want to do more test before they allow him to sit up more in bed. He was showed what he looked like in the mirror, broken nose, side of forehead which will need some plastic suregy eventually. He thought he looked bad but Don told him well I took some pics when they first brought you in so I could show you later. Guess he won't be getting on any snowmobile without a helmet EVER again!!!!

Thankyou to all that sent well-wishes to Don and Cathy and family. It truly lifted their spirits when they read the thread. It helped them get through it and it helped them have "hope" and "faith".

now thats an answered prayer!! im so happy for everyone in this family

Praise God! Thank you so much. My husband is also a broken neck survivor, he and I both are holding Devon in warmest love and prayers for his continued healing. God bless his family too in their strength and courage and encouraging love for Devon and one another. God be with them always.

In His Hands,

Tanya & Family

That is absolutely awesome news, Danielle! THANK GOD!!! I'm leaving for a week away tomorrow and I'll bet he'll be up and walking around, if not at home already, by the time I get back.

Devon, keep up the good work! We're still praying for a quick and complete recovery for you!
