Many of us know Ernie from the shows so I thought I would let everyone know that Ernie is being admitted today to the Cleveland Clinic in OH. He has some blockage going on in a couple of arteries and the doctors will be fixing him up. Please keep Ernie in your thoughts and prayers for a full recovery!

I was fortunate enough this year to spend some time with Ernie discussing our association and ponies in general at Congress last week. I have a lot of respect for him and admire his devotion to his ponies and the special people in his life (they know who they are!

). He's a good man and we need more like him!

The very first time I showed Sunny was under him and Roger (Daulton) at the NAHA show. As I trotted past him to set up in halter, he asked me "You ARE going to teach that horse to drive, RIGHT??"

I did, and Sunny went Reserve Grand last year.
