A whole new thing for me.....but I have decided I will hit the unemployment line for now..........lost my job in a very weird manner ...oh well it was starting to suck anyway and there really was nothing to look forward to other than 25 cents a year raises (

: woohoo yeehaw) .......time to re group and maybe actually move into my house (ie clean up that "pile" that got set aside for later, over a year ago

: )....get the kids back on track....and most of all get myself back on track and moving forward rather than stagnating like a mosquito pond.......... :bgrin scary to be minus the paycheck that pays the mortgage but as always I figure I will make it work...............

Rori, this may be a blessing in disguise.

I think you are already seeing hints of that. Do the things you have been putting off/aside and in the meantime, I'm betting something new and better will show up before long, probably before you get all the things done that you wanted to do.

My thoughts are with you,

Liz M.

Hey I am with you, well kinda...................I have a PT job now, but not going well.

The old company is still trying to destroy me with blocking my unemployment.

Well that totally sucked

((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))) It's the pits when we have to work our butts off to make didlely squat just to survive. Sometimes I wish I lived back when you could just live off the land. Hope things look up for you soon!!

Rori am sorry.

Hubby became pro so to speak at it after he got out of the Navy in 99. Could only get contract jobs until last Aug. 05.

If you have any questions just PM me.

I guess I have been rather lucky through the years. I have gotten jobs on my own without going through an employment office.. Although I have been laid off for a month at a time But the unemployment was pretty close to what I was making when working.. I worked at a place that one week you work 36 hours and the next week you worked 46 hours.. BUT IF you didn't work on that "Short" week unemployment paid for 40 hours so you Made money on those weeks. But of course on the "long" week you lost 100 bucks. But at 330 a week it was not too bad. I know one year I collected over 6,000 on Unemployment at different times through out that year.. That was not bad and then the rest of the time you were employed. So I made out OK. But now I am on SS Dis. and with added Long Term Dis. policy from work I am making what I cleared when I was working. So it isn't too bad.

I do believe that things happen for a reason - even though it may not seem that way right now. I'm sure you will find a job that you enjoy more and pays better. I just made a job change and it isn't an easy adjustment but well worth it. I'm still at the bottom of the learning curve but working my way up. Change isn't easy but I'm glad that I made my change.

Good Luck,

Kareng
