Update- From Laurie

I just got off the phone with Laurie. As some of you know she had surgury today for her intense abdominal pain. She is home resting. All went well. She is just in a lot of pain. However, she is resting and calling it a night for some well needed rest!!! I hope to get an update tomorrow. So lets pray for a speedy recovery and look forward to her posted

Hi Everyone!!!

Just a quick note, cannot sit long and am very tired. I think just breathing wears me out, LOL

Am feeling a bit better each day so shouldnt be long til I am up and around but will have to be on light duty for quite a while. No heaving hay bales and other stuff....

From what I understand after surgery my abdomen was full of scar tissue and adhesions, and I also had an oopherectomy (I just love that word, LOL). All tissue samples were benign- yeah! Will know more about what was found on my follow up visit in a few days.

Thanks to Zoey for posting updates for me and worrying so much and her phone calls- and thanks to everyone for their well wishes. The chronic pain I have had for 14 months is GONE and I just have the surgery pain to recover from now. I have three incisions- the top one is traumatized and very bruised and hurts the worst. Hurts to cough and well.... move in general. Have to carefully roll out of bed.

Well, back to bed, have been up for a little bit trying to read email but I have had enough and must go lay back down for now.

CRAP! Have had yet another bad reaction to another antibiotic... have a rash from my thighs to my armpits and itching... called the Dr. and they said if my coughing gets worse or the rash doesnt quit after benedryl, to go to the hospital. I think I will be fine- and hate taking benedryl cause it knocks me out... guess I will call it a day and go do that. Dang it.

Hey being knocked out isn't all bad. Gives you a chance to heal without hurting yourself moving around a lot. Hang in there.....sounds like better days are just around the corner.
