Update on my daughters condition

First and foremost I would once again like to say thank you so much to everyone. I have had an overwhelming amount of emails and calls with good wishes for my daughter. You are all so wonderful.

My daughter is improving. Her lip is healing nicely, but I still think it might need a little plastic surgery. Her nose fracture is healing nicely also.

Her hip we will not know for awhile yet. The hip was dislocated for more than eight hours and that is concerning. The doctors are keeping a very close watch on it. I keep praying that she does not need a total hip replacement. She is on no weight bearing restrictions for at least one month. We are to see the orthopedic specialist again on the 15th.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas as I might be AWOL for awhile - just way busy.

I am going to try to get December's CMHR Newsletter ready to be emailed soon.

so glad to know she is improving. don't be frightened of a total hip replacement. i have bilateral replacements, had both hips done a little over 8 years ago and live a completely normal, unencumbered life. nuthin' wrong with being bionic!

Kelli continues to improve. I am really looking forward to our next visit to the specialist. I am hoping that all is well in there with her hip and she can try to get back to life. She is going stir crazy for sure just laying on mom's couch. Yes, things could have been much much worse so I thank God every day that we still have her. Ayden needs his mommy and I need a vacation.

Thank you for every offer of help during this difficult time. I can't begin to tell you all what it means to me.
